Eliza's First Birthday

Happy Birthday Eliza! I can't believe my baby has turned one and she has taken her first steps! It seems just like yesterday I brought her home from the hospital. When Anne saw her for the first time she said "she has a precious face!" from then on she has been called precious face. We are so glad Eliza is part of our family and love the fun spirit she brings into our home. It has been so much fun to watch her grow and relate to Jason and Anne. She is my most strong willed child and I hope she uses it for good in her life. We love her so much!!! Here are some pics of her Birthday...
She got a new slide and she loves it. When she saw it for the first time she crawled right over to it and started climbing. Jason and Anne love it just as much as she does.

A Birthday picture with Dad and Mom.

Her birthday dress. I bought a fall/winter outfit but, on her birthday is was 85 degrees. It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed being outside.

Opening presents with Anne and cousin Kate. She was lucky to have some help because opening presents is a whole new thing!

Her is her lady bug cake. Jason told me he didn't like the eyes. It was a funny cake but, she loved it!

Getting ready to blow out her candle!

She dug right into her cake and got it all over herself. We got some great video of it!

Is He hearing right?

So, I am not sure if any of you go through these conversations with your kids but, lately Jason has been cracking me up. After school I will ask him about his day and he will tell me about kids in his class. I have noticed that some of the kids have some unusual names like "BreBran". I ask Jason "Are you sure her name isn't BreAnn?" He insist that her name is BreBran and that she doesn't talk. The next day he said he had a new friend named "Blocks" What?! I said again " Is his name maybe Broc?" He insisted again that it was Blocks. Then the boy that sits next to him is "Luca" I am thinking Lucas but, who knows! He passed his hearing test done at the school so, this is just cracking us up. We love to hear stories about BreBran and try to get him in any way to say here name. He could be totally right for all we know and I can't wait to see his class pictures to figure out who these kids are. What would we do without these precious kids!

Peanut Face

Check out our little Peanut! Eliza is our messy eater. She does not like us to feed her. She has to feed herself. The other night we had spaghetti and it was everywhere!! She went straight into the bath after this meal!

Anne starts Preschool!!

Anne started preschool this week. Our neighbor does preschool and all of Anne's little girl friends are in her class. I wasn't sure if Anne would be excited about going or if she would want me to stay with her for a while-but she didn't. She went right in and never looked back. I think she is excited to have something to do during the day and it's something that Jason isn't doing. She is my middle child right now and I didn't realize that she needed something special that only she is doing. When she comes home her and Jason compare there work and who did the coolest work for that day. I am so proud of her and I'm grateful to this great neighbor and the good work she does with the kids. Do you love her backpack? It's as big as her but, it's tinkerbell so it had to work!

First Day of School

Jason started Kindergarten on Aug. 25th. He loves school and his teacher is great! I dropped him off for his first day and as I left I cried. I am so excited for him but, now we start a new area of his life where the outside world has an influence. He is growing up so fast and I know in a couple of years I'll watch that boy walk through the MTC doors and cry all over.

He has made friends in his class and our little neighbor girl is in love with him. She ask me all the time when she can marry Jason. He thinks that is gross and he really doesn't like girls right now. (Thank goodness!) On Labor Day I told him that he didn't need to go to school because it was a holiday! I thought he would be excited but, instead he said " What?! But, I want to go to school today!" I know that phrase won't last too much longer.

Summer of 2008

We had such a great summer this year. I thought I would just catch up on our blog. We went to Yellowstone with my family in July. We stayed in a cabin all together and had fun being together. My kids loved being with their cousins every moment of the day. We enjoyed seeing all the traditional sites of Yellowstone.

We also went up to Bear Lake twice this summer with the Schwitzer side of the family. We love Bear Lake and always have a great time sitting on the beach, and eating the famous raspberry shakes. Again, my kids were in heaven being with cousins again. Our trip to Bear Lake in August was fun because I met Mike's cousins from Canada for the first time. They are so much fun and I loved getting to know them better. Mike's Grandma who is 92 even got on a wave runner and took it for a spin. She is an amazing lady and I learn from her all the time.

We had the traditional summer of late night walks, fireworks, BBQ, playing at the park, riding bikes, running through sprinklers, going to the pool, eating, buying ice cream from the ice cream man, going up to the canyons, hiking, golfing and just being together. We had a great summer!!

Hello fellow Bloggers

We have finally set up a blog. I have had so much fun reading others and keeping updated with friends and family I thought I would start one for our family. So, I hope you all enjoy our crazy but, fun life.
