Utah Man

It's the start of another football season and Mike is sooo excited. I am too and I love that with football brings the fall season. Mike and Paul were lucky this year to get season tickets to Utah football this year. The Utes had their first game against Pitt and Mike was there. He said he had such fun time being there with Paul and just yelling and cheering the team on. The Utes did win the game and it should be great football season!

Here is how our home looks every time there is a Utah game. Our neighbors really don't like it since we live in Utah County but, now that our flag has come out more Ute flags around the neighborhood have appeared.

Bear Lake with the Youngs

We headed up to Bear Lake with the Young side and had a good time. Our family, Grandpa and Grandma Young, and Joe's family stayed at the Schwitzer home. Brad and Ryan's families found some condos to stay in on the south end of the lake. We did manage to get together everyday though, to play on the beach together and go to Bear Lake Pizza. It was a crazy weekend weather wise and we got one good day and half of another day before a huge sand storm blew in. We still made some good memories and had fun together. I love the picture of Eliza above jumping on the tramp and laughing.
Eliza loves Sydney and they had so much fun playing in the lake together

Hanging out on the beach with Jill and Erin

Jason was always up for a game of tether ball. Uncle Ryan was always so good about playing with him!

Mike, Dad and Joe went golfing Saturday morning and on the way home Mike found a Newt. I have never hear of such a thing but, he brought it home for the kids to look at. They all loved him and we named him Issac Newt. We let him go in the marina by the house and hopefully he enjoyed his time with all the Young grand-kids.

Playing the sand is always a hit with the kids and this time they tried to make a tunnel under the sand!

There were some Bocce games played and lots of hanging out on the tramp out in the water. We had a fun weekend and it always good to be with family and laugh. One night we even planned the Mormon Bachelorette show for Jill. We thought she could be the first Mormon Bachelorette and we would just need to sell it to BYU TV or maybe we will just laugh about it

Ready for Church on Sunday morning in Bear Lake. We enjoyed spending time with Joe and Jessica and kids and we were glad they could room with us this year!

Good Friends

It was so much fun to get together with all these great ladies. I have not seen some of them in such a long time and it was so much fun to catch up and talk about old times. Some I was close to in high school and some I roomed with in College! Even though I have not seen them in a while we just seemed to pick up where we left off. We went to the Cheesecake factory and had some yummy food and talk for hours. It was a really fun evening for me!

First Day of School 2010

Jason started 2nd grade this year and he was feeling really big. We met his teacher Mrs. Lewis and she is the perfect teacher for Jason. He has a lot of friends from the neighborhood in his class. He is out in a portable and Jason couldn't be more happy. I was kind of sad that he was out there and not actually in the school but, in his 2nd grade mind it's the best classroom. I am grateful for his positive attitude!! He gets to walk home from school this year and has found a group in the neighborhood to walk with. This should be a good year for him.
My sweet Anne started Kindergarten and she was sooo excited. Getting a girl ready for the first day of school is quite different than getting a boy ready. The night before we had to curl hair, paint nails, and decide which outfit to wear. It was fun helping her get ready and make all the fun decisions together. She has Mrs. Ashworth as her teacher and she also has lots of friends from the neighborhood in her class. She says every morning that she can't eat a good breakfast because she is so excited to go to school! We will see how long that attitude last. :)

The kids love to include Max in all things and they wanted Max to have a first day of school pic. So, Max is off to dog school!

Eliza gets to go to Mommy school this year. We have to give her something and she is happy knowing that she goes to Mommy school. While we were getting Jason and Anne their new school supplies she was feeling left out. She picked out this princess back pack and I couldn't say no. She fills her bag with books that she wants me to read to her.

Here is Anne lining up to go to Kindergarten. I always get a little teary eyed when my kids enter Kindergarten. It's another Apron string I have to cut but, I can't believe how fast time flies. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was dropping off Jason to Kindergarten and now here goes Anne. I am really excited for the kids and know it will be a great year!

Officially Big

Eliza is officially potty trained and she is a very big girl. She is very proud of herself and Mike and I are enjoying a break from diapers. We have been changing diapers non-stop for 7 years. So, now we get a small break which is nice. We promised the kids that if they helped us train Eliza we would take them to Kangaroo Zoo once Eliza had it down. Jason and Anne were good helpers with Eliza so, a job well done.

Pioneer Crossing

It was a big day when Pioneer Crossing opened. Our little city is out a ways and it use to take me about 20 min to get to I-15 or to my favorite store Target. With this new road I can get to Target and I-15 in 7 minutes!! I am loving this road and the convenience it has brought to our life.

Driving the Road at 8 a.m. We were nerds and woke up and went in our p.j's to try out the new road. We also love the new sign that welcomes people to Saratoga Springs. Our tax payer dollars went to good use with this road!
