Lagoon

We have not been to Lagoon in years and so when the Youngs decided to all go we jumped in on the fun. We had a great time going on rides together and just being together with our cousins. Jason made the jump from the kiddie rides and finally went on the white roller coaster. Anne went on some bigger rides also like Tidal Wave. Eliza did not like any of the rides except the car ride. She loved especially going on this ride with Sydney. Lagoon brings back so many memories for me. I remember going to Lagoon every year on Stake Lagoon day. Our stake would have it's own pavilion and we would just spend the day with our friends and neighbors. Lagoon has changed a lot but, it's still the same fun and a lot of the same the rides. We will have to continue to make a Lagoon a tradition.

Anne's Dance Recital

Anne had a great time in her Jazz class this spring. She was the youngest in her class but, her teacher said she kept up great with the older girls. She was part of the production The 12 Dancing Princesses and she danced to "Get your Sparkle on" She did such a wonderful job and it was fun to watch all the progress she made this year. She would never show us the dance so when the performance happened we were so happy to finally see her dance.

Grandma Young and Auntie Jill came to watch you. They both love dance and enjoyed watching the performance.

Pine Wood Derby

We had a winner this year! Jason came in third place this year and we are so happy for him. Jason designed his car and Mike helped him with it. They worked on it together for about a week and all their hard work paid off. It was a fun event for the cub scouts and it was fun to watch Jason come in third.

Getting his medal for third.

Nice work boys!!!

Summer Time!

This year in Utah summer was slow in coming. We were not sure when the swim suits would come out. But, finally Summer has arrived and the swim suits are out. The kids had fun on the slip 'n slide and jumping on the water tramp in the back yard.

Mike and Jason had the Father and Son outing with our ward. We have such a great ward and the boys had a great time. They camped, played games, and later that night Captain Moroni showed up to the camp. He had all the Men and boys sign a Title of Liberty. Jason loved that part and it left a huge impression on him.

Good Times!

Last Day of School

Jason finished up his 2nd grade year and he was ready for a break! Jason worked hard this year at improving his handwriting and he did! He got a great year being in Mrs. Lewis's class and he made some great friends this year also.

Eliza is so happy to have Jason and Anne home for the Summer. She is getting ready to start a neighborhood pre-school this Fall.

Anne finished Kindergarten and it was a fun first school year for her. She made lots of fun new friends and she did amazing on her school work.

Anne had Kindergarten graduation and she had a speaking part in the program. She did great and we were proud of her.

Anne with Mrs. Ashworth. This is a fuzzy picture but, we loved Mrs. Ashworth and she made Anne's first school experience a great one.

May

Jason with his Russian Hat on.

Lucy loved the bumbo! A couple of weeks later, though, she learned how to push herself around the house in the bumbo. It was crazy to see her move her legs and push herself on the wood floor. She is a genius!

Anne was student of the month for May! This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of her. Her teacher said that she is an outstanding reader and she is a wonderful example and help in the classroom. Way to go Anne!!!

Lucy cheering Jason on at his Soccer game.

Jason played Spring Soccer and had a great time. He took a little break from soccer but, it didn't seem like it. He was always making plays and trying his best.

Jason's Piano Recital

Jason had his first Piano Recital in May. Jason is lucky to be taught Piano by Grandma Young. She does such a good job with him and we appreciate her teaching him. We are also lucky to have our good friend Korrine who teaches piano and let us have a spot in her piano recital with her students. The picture above is Jason feeling a little nervous and Eliza is just as nervous for him.

Announcing his name and the piece he will play.

He played Chugga Chugga Choo Choo and he did awesome. He had the whole piece memorized and he made no mistakes.

Thanks Grandma!

New York City

At the beginning of May Mike had the opportunity to head out to Russia to visit his parents. There was a mix up on his ticket and so, they had to re-book his flight. When that happened he ended up having a 10 hour lay over in New York City! He had never been to the Big Apple so he took the chance to see some of the sights.

He called us in the morning and said to turn on the T.V to the Today Show. We did and saw Mike waving to us in the crowd.

He got to see the Statue of Liberty

He went down to Wall Street and saw the sights and found a very nice treasure on the street! :)

He also visited ground zero and saw the new Freedom Tower being built.

It was a crazy lay over with crazy taxi rides but, a nice two in one trip for Mike.
