Let Summer of 2009 Begin!

This past week was the last week of school. Jason had a fun week finishing up his Kindergarten year. Jason had a great experience and it had to do with his amazing teacher Mrs. Ruoho. She is an outstanding teacher and help Jason to succeed this first year. I can't believe he will be in 1st grade next year! I will miss him so much as he will be in school all day. I can't imagine not having lunch with him everyday. This Summer he is mine again and I will enjoy having him around all the time. He had Kindergarten graduation and they did a cute program and then handed them there diploma's.
This is the Kindergarten graduate in his classroom. He didn't know any kids in his class at the first of the year and then by the end he had made some really good friends. He came home with a few phone numbers of boys that wanted to hang out with him over the summer. Who wouldn't want to be friends with Jason!

This was the last day of school and he is home doing the Toyota jump because school is out and Summer can begin!

Yellow Belt Promotion

This week Jason was promoted to his yellow belt. They have a special night were they honor those that are getting a different colored belt. They show off some of their kicks and punches they have learned to get their new belt. In the pictures above and below Jason is showing his stuff!!

Here he is getting his new belt and he was really excited. It was a fun evening and was a time were we could cheer for Jason and make him feel special.

Memorial Day

We had a great holiday an Monday and it was a great day to kick off Summer. In the morning we did yard work and worked around the house. The kids had fun riding bikes and playing outside. The past week I have been working on a sewing project and in this picture Eliza is wearing it. She loves the shirt and when I first put it on her she would scream if I took it off. I think she felt special in the first shirt I have ever made for her.
In the afternoon we went to visit some relatives graves to remember them on this holiday. We stopped by my Uncle Steve's grave and went to my Grandpa and Grandma Davis's grave. I think it's important for my kids to understand those that have gone before them. I try to show pictures of my grand-parents that have passed away but, it's hard at their age to understand how they relate to them. They still had fun running around outside and being with their cousin Hayden.

After we went to my parents house and had the first summer BBQ. We ate really good food and played Boccie Ball which Jason was awesome at! We had a really fun holiday and were happy to spent it with family!

A Fun Weekend

This past weekend was so nice. The weather here has been awesome and it has been teasing us with summer type temperatures. On Saturday morning Jason and Mike headed out to do there first fishing outing for the season. Jason was so excited and woke up very early wondering if it was time to go. They headed out and went fishing on the Jordan River. This was Jason's first experience fishing in a river and I guess it didn't go very well. No fish were caught but, lots of fun memories for Jason and Mike.
That afternoon it got so warm the kids wanted to run through the sprinkler and eat lunch outside. So, swim wear was put on and kids had a really fun time playing in the water.

Notice Jason's awesome swim shorts! (Not!) We were at Target and he found the most hideous Star Wars swim shorts. I was trying to convince him that we wanted a nice blue or red swim shorts and he was sure that these were the coolest. So, if this summer you get the great privilege of viewing these swim shorts take a look because after summer I will probably give them to the D.I

Anne enjoying eating out on the deck.
School is almost out for the kids and they can't wait. You can tell when school is winding down when Jason's teacher said it was optional if they wanted to turn in there homework this week. She said that grades were already done. Sometimes I wonder why the kids even go to the last week but, then the last week is full of fun! They have a picnic one day, field day, Kindergarten graduation, and a last day of school party. It will be a busy week so this weekend was a perfect relaxing one.

Congrats to the U of U Grad

This weekend my brother Joe graduated from the U of U with his MBA. We are all really proud of him and know this has been a crazy time for him and his family. Joe has always been a great brother to me and he has accomplishment so much in his life at such a young age. I was so glad that I could be at his graduation and cheer him on. I know he will move on to do great things in his career. Joe is a huge BYU fan but the U of U night program worked better for him with his work schedule and already working downtown. He says he likes the U of U MBA program but, he still likes BYU sports better!

Spring time in the Rockies

This spring has been so beautiful and the tulips in Utah have been amazing this Spring. We do not have the greatest camera and my tulips are the greatest but, they are the best they have ever been since we have lived in our home. We also stopped by Temple Square the tulips there were breath taking. I have never seen Temple Square look more beautiful. It was seriously better then the Christmas lights!!! We have been enjoying this great weather and can't wait for the summer fun to begin

Good Times with Eliza

This past week I have caught some funny moments of Eliza. They are just moments of Eliza being Eliza. Eliza is the messiest eater! She has stained more clothes then my other kids and she doesn't seem to care at all! She will not let me help her eat and in the pictures you can get a taste of what it's like eating with her.

She loves ice cream and loves that it's all over her face!!
The other morning I had our baby swing out and Eliza was loving it. She climbed in the swing and then Anne would push her. She was pretending to be a baby and would make funny baby sounds according to her.

Eliza is all girl and loves to be in a dress. Every morning she goes to her closet and whines at her dresses hanging. The other day her Sunday dress was in the dirty clothes and she got it out and put it on over her pajamas. She then found a princess crown and shoes. She put all this on by herself and I thought it was so cute. In this posting Eliza is in her pajamas in all the pictures and we really do get her dressed in actual clothes!
