Good Bye 2015

Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer hosted a New Years Eve Party had their house.  We met for dinner and then we just played different board games all evening.  This groups was playing an intense game of Clue.
 Game of Rummikub.
At about 8:30 we decided to count down and say Happy New Year.  We cheered, kissed, and had sparkling cider.
Grandma got us all these Canadian crackers to crack open.  Inside was a little prize and these crowns to wear.

The older cousins plus Smith!  A lot of these kids left this party to go to parties with their friends.  Jason has not hit that stage yet so, we just enjoyed hanging a little longer at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Happy New Year!!  2015 was very good to us!!

Watch out!

The day after Christmas Mike and I headed to the shooting range to try out his new gun.   His gun with the scope is so fun to shoot.  Then I practiced shooting our hand gun.  I have to say I am getting better with that thing.  I hope I never have to use it, but it's nice to know that I could use it if I ever needed to.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Morning was filled with lots of excitement.  The kids were up pretty early, but did not come up to get us until 7:00a.m.  They ran downstairs and saw what Santa brought.

Lucy got a new Bitty Baby.  She has red hair and blue eyes just like Lucy!

Eliza got a Razor Electric Scooter
But, I think she loved her soft reading pillow the most!
Anne also got a scooter.  They were excited to get these, but could not try them out for weeks after Christmas.  We had too much snow and ice to ride them outside!
Jason got a Phone!  He has been wanted this since starting Middle School.  We made him sign a Technology contract with us.  He has certain rules he has to follow and be responsible for the phone.  He has done great with it so far!

After we had a Yummy Christmas Breakfast before we opened presents from Mom and Dad.
Here Dad put on his traditional Santa hat to hand out the Presents from under the tree.

The kids and I got Mike the new shot gun he wanted.  It was so much fun surprising him with this gift!

In the afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer stopped by the house to see how our Christmas went.  Max was loving Grandma!  In the afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Young's for a yummy Christmas dinner and more present opening.

We had such a relaxing Christmas day and enjoyed being with Family.  It doesn't get any better than that!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning the kids wanted to open their gifts from each other.  Jason gave to Lucy this year and got her a fairy dress-up.
A blurry picture, but it proves that Jason does hug his sisters!
Lucy gave Eliza some new shopkins.
Eliza gave Anne new slippers, a headband, and body spray.
Anne gave Jason a football kick off holder… Not sure what it is called. Haha!
In the afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzers for Christmas Eve with the cousins.   We ate a yummy Christmas dinner and then we had a little talent show with everyone.  Lucy recited a poem.
 Eliza played the piano.
 Anne did some dance moves.
Jason solved his rubix cube in minutes!  It was fun to see all the cousins share a talent.  At the end Jacob played the guitar while we all sang Silent Night.  It was a neat moment because Jacob will be going a his mission this Summer.  This will probably be the last Christmas all of us will all be together.  It was a special moment and the spirit filled the room.
 We then did the Nativity.

All the Schwitzer cousins!  After,we opened presents and enjoyed being together.
We came home and got ready for Santa to come.  The kids got to open their new Christmas pajamas!
 That night Santa Came!!

Christmas Adam

We had a fun Christmas Adam evening this year.  We had a yummy dinner to kick off our celebration. Turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, roasted green beans, and jello.
After dinner Dad gave us a great thought about the meaning of Christmas and we all got to bear our testimonies about Jesus Christ.
It then was time for the best part… Dessert!  We were all wondering who would get the almond this year and Lucy was our lucky girl!
She got to open our family present which was the game Clue.  Over Christmas break we had some intense games of Clue together!  Lucy also will have good luck in 2016!

That evening we watched our favorite Christmas movie The Nativity.  This is always an evening we look forward to as a family!

Cousin Time

Mike's cousin Ben was in town for Christmas so, we got together all the Rawsthorne cousins that were in Utah.  We just met at a church, had lunch, and then a game of dodge ball broke out!  The kids had so much fun.  I think the guys got more into it, though, than the kids! haha!

The girls cousins that came.  Mike has such a great family and it's always fun to be with his extended family!

Christmas Sunday

I had to document Christmas Sunday.  Love my kids and that they will still let me take pictures of them.  We had such a neat Christmas program in Sacrament meeting.  It helped me feel the Christmas spirit more.
To be honest the week before was so crazy and so stressful that I was not feeling the spirit at all.  I walked into the church and just felt so peaceful and grateful to the Savior.  The spirit was back.  That is why we go to church.  To re-charge and fill up our tanks for the next week.  How grateful I am for the Sabbath!

Down Town Christmas Get Away

Christmas Break has officially begun and we decided to head down town to celebrate.  We met Mike down town just in time as he had just flown in from Chicago.  We ate at the Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square ( Which is tradition! ).  We then headed over to Temple Square to see the beautiful lights.
It was actually a warmer night so, it wasn't so bad looking at all the lights.  The church always does such a great job.  I really felt the Spirit as we were there.  It was just beautiful!
 Mike's favorite red tree!
After the lights we headed to our hotel.  We stayed at the Marriott down town.  We went swimming and then enjoyed relaxing in these robes and watching a movie.  We actually all just fell asleep because we were so tired!  The next morning we got ready and then headed out for breakfast.  We then wandering around city creek.
We happened to be at the Disney Store at the best time!  Right when they open.  They will only let a child unlock their door.  Lucy got the honor of unlocking the Disney store for that day!
They gave her this souvenir key to remember her special day.  She was so excited!
We then had tickets to the Here Comes Santa Claus concert at Symphony Hall.  It was such a fun concert and we enjoyed all the Christmas music.  Jason loved watching all the percussion!  We then rushed home to catch the Utah/ BYU bowl game.  The boys were downstairs watching the game and girls decided to make snow puppies.

They then made this cute snowman!  The Utes barely won so, we called this the perfect weekend for our little family!!
