Go Utes!

On Saturday we went to a Utah football game. I had not been to game in a couple of years and it was so much fun to be part of the cheering crowd again. This was Jason's first time at a Utah game. He has been to a couple of BYU games thanks to his BYU fan Grandma and Grandpa. We finally got him back in red and he had a great time cheering. Jason was jumping up and down and screaming when " we had to protect our house" on 3rd down. The Utes played Air Force and it was an ugly game. Really, Utah didn't look that great but, somehow we won which made sitting through a couple of rain showers worth it. We also had really good seats. We not only had great views of the field but, we had some guy with a lot of money sitting by us. Every so often he would go down and buy like 100$ worth of candy, popcorn, cotton candy, and chips and would pass it out to everyone sitting by him. He seriously spent like 50$ just on us. He was a really nice guy. We told Jason you would never find someone like that at a BYU game! ha ha :)
We had a fun afternoon just being with Jason and spending time with him. We will have to see how the season turns out. We still have to play TCU and BYU which both of them will be huge games. Go Utes!

Hee Haw Farms

It isn't the Fall season until you have made it to Hee Haw Farms. This Farm is in Pleasant Grove and we have enjoyed going around Halloween for a couple of years. They have the perfect activities for my kids at this time and they had a great night. They have an area where the kids can pet farm animals. Jason enjoyed holding this black rabbit and Anne loved petting the sheep. Eliza thought all the animals were "scary" and didn't want to touch them. She did love looking at all the baby pigs though.
They had a fun little train ride that the kids went on and as a family we went on a Hay ride. They had fun big slides and a little haunted house perfect for little kids. They played on swings and played fun Halloween games.

At the end we went in their pumpkin patch and picked out our Halloween pumpkins. The kids loved running around the patch trying to find their perfect pumpkin. Here is the pumpkin that Anne picked out.

Here is Eliza's pumpkin. Eliza thought that the sunflowers were also "scary". They do look a little scary in the picture.

Jason found his pumpkin after a while and I think he found a good one. We had fun night and topped it off by going to Cold Stone. Yummy!!!

Two pig tails!

We hit a big day because I can finally put Eliza's hair in two pig tails. She is growing up way too fast and she just isn't a baby anymore. It's very hard as a Mom to see your baby growing but, also very exciting. She is so precious.

H1N1

So, this week we have been fighting the H1N1 virus aka swine flu. We all came down with it in the middle of week. Mike got it first and we thought maybe we could keep the rest of us away from it but, it's impossible living in the same house. Eliza got it and then all the rest of us. It really isn't that bad and we have had worst cases of the flu in our house. We have been good about not going anywhere and spreading to those who it could have a really bad affect on.

It has been funny because all our neighbors have been really afraid of us. If we walk out to get the mail they kind of run back into their houses. We really are clean people and wash hands! Really it is everywhere. Mike's Dr. said 1 out of every 3 patients he has seen has the swine flu. I am hear to testify that you can get through it! Once you do than you don't have to worry about it the rest of year. I told Mike I am glad we got it now and not around the holidays. This was a great week just to be home!

Conference Weekend

We had a great conference weekend and enjoyed all the traditions that come with it. On Saturday, Mike and I got to go to the Saturday afternoon session. It is always so much fun to be in the conference center and to see the prophet and the apostles up close. My favorite part is when the whole congregation stands up for the rest hymn and sings. That many people singing is pretty powerful. After, Mike stayed for the Priesthood session and I went back to my parents house and hung out with my Mom and Jessica. Jessica basically did a Halloween craft for me so I will have to post in a couple of weeks. Thank you Mom and Jessica.
For the past two weeks Grandma and Grandpa have been in town for Conference and we have had a great time spending time with family. We just want to make as many memories as we can before they go back to Russia and we don't see them for another 6 months. We had a Christmas party for them on Sunday since they will be gone for Christmas. Sarah made a great Christmas dinner and it was fun seeing them open their Christmas gifts. We will miss them over the holidays but, they are doing amazing things over in Russia and we are so proud of them.
