Jason's Birthday!

Jason had a great Birthday weekend. We went bowling with Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer and had a fun afternoon. We all did pretty well especially Mike who renewed his bowling skills. Jason had a great time and was even surprised when they wished him a Happy Birthday over the loud speaker. He got the biggest smile on his face!!

He couldn't wait to open presents. First thing in the morning the presents were opened. His favorite was his new remote control car.

In the evening the Young side came over for cake and ice cream. He got to play with cousins and open some presents. In the picture above he is thinking hard about what he wants to wish for before blowing out his candles.
Jason is an amazing son and he I am so glad he came to our family. He is smart, fun, good with his sisters, and patient with his Mom and Dad. He loves anything do with Super heroes and in the summer he lives on his bike. We love him so much and know this will be a great year for him.

Draper Temple Open House

On Saturday we had the opportunity to go through the Draper Temple. This was really exciting for my kids because they always want to go inside the temples. The Church does an amazing job at organizing these events. We first went to a church by the temple and watched a 10min movie on temples and on the Draper area. We then were bused up to the temple.

This temple was beautiful and it really felt like a really nice home. It doesn't seem as big as like the Jordan River Temple but, they said it would serve 60,ooo thousand members in the area. My kids loved it and especially Jason. They give you a pamphlet before you go in and he had it open the whole time trying to match the pictures from the pamphlet to what he was really seeing. After we were done we asked Jason what was his favorite part and he said, " I loved that I could feel Heavenly Father." I am so thankful for this experience! The spirit was strong through the temple and my kids could feel it. I think for Jason it was the beginning of a Testimony for him of the love that Heavenly Father has for him. Anne liked the brides room ( of course every girl loves that room!) and liked being in the Temple also.

It was a great morning and an experience our family will not forget!

Another Birthday!

Last week it was my birthday and it was a great day! I woke up to some gifts and the kids were so excited. The kids gave me a new hair straightener which was much needed. Mike then gave me a ipod which was much needed also since I would always use his. I am pretty behind on the times as far as technology so this has been huge for me. My ipod is great and is so user friendly.
In the afternoon my Mom took me shopping which was much needed as well and I got a some new clothes. In the evening my parents watched the kids and Mike and I saw Marley and Me. This is such a cute movie but, you will cry. I told myself going into the movie that I would not cry but, at the end of the movie you can't help it. After the movie we went out to eat and it was so much fun going on a date with my husband and actually being able to talk with each other without being interrupted.
My mom then made me a delicious birthday cake and I called it a great birthday. I am getting older but, I am really enjoying my 30's so far. I love the ages of my kids and I love that we are not going through school and all the craziness of being in your 20's. 31 should be a great year!!

Another Birthday!
