Happy Birthday Eliza!

Our sweet little girl had a birthday over the weekend and she couldn't have been happier. Eliza is into pink and anything that has a princess on it. She also loves her baby dolls and loves to be a good mommy to them. She is a really good talker and she always says " Thanks Mom" She is a delight to have in our home and we are so happy she is part of our family.
She was so excited to open her presents in the morning. We had to wait a while to have Dad return from some early morning meetings. She was jumping up and down in excitement to open her presents.

She got a new doll stroller and she is in heaven. She grabbed her favorite doll and took it for a walk around the house. She is a very good Mom to her baby dolls.

We had a family party at Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer house. Eliza enjoys being with all her girl cousins.

Here are most of the boy cousins enjoying dinner.

I made Eliza a pink cake with princesses at the top. She loved it and all day she wanted a piece of the princess cake. The time finally arrived and she blew out her candles with no help. We love you Eliza and hope this next year is a good one for you!

Fall has arrived!

On Saturday we decided to head up Provo Canyon and look at the Fall leaves. It was such a pretty day and we just wanted to enjoy it by being outside. We headed up to Sundance and thought we would just walk around and have picnic. When we arrived at Sundance they were having a Fall festival and tons of people were there. We bought tickets to go up on the ski lift to the top of the mountain. The views were awesome and we had great views of all the autumn colors. It looked like a "bowl of fruit loops" quoting Mike! I have really grown to love Mount Timpanogos. I grew up calling Mount Olympus home but, Timp has really become home to me now.
Jason was really scared to climb up on this fence to get a picture. Can you tell?

The view coming down the mountain. I love Utah and nothing beats our beautiful mountains!

Mike and Anne enjoying the ride.

Eliza and I enjoying the ride also. It was a fun day and a prefect weekend to go because it's suppose to get cold in the next couple of days. :(

Family Sunday

My family gets together once a month for a big family dinner. We usually celebrate any birthdays for that month and have a good time being together. This month we celebrated Eliza's birthday and she had a great evening. Eliza loves the color pink and balloons. We walked into my parents house and they had the dinning room filled with pink balloons. Eliza was in heaven and she carried around a balloon the whole night. All the cousins had a blast playing in a card board box. They were laughing and having the best time. Who would have thought a card board box could be sooo much fun!!
Eliza and Sydney are weeks apart and they are becoming better friends. Eliza talks about Sydney all the time. They have matching dresses and whenever I put the dress on Eliza says "Sydney dress." I hope they become good friends and help each other as they get older.

Eliza got lots of fun presents from Grandma and Grandpa and cousins. She got this dress-up from Grandma and Grandpa and she couldn't be happier. It was a fun day for Eliza and fun to be with family again.

Football Season

Another football season has started and this is how the front of our house looks just about every Saturday when Utah plays. It was a sad day in the state of Utah for our football teams. Utah lost to Oregon and ended our winning streak. It was a hard loss but, we knew this day would come eventually. We are Ute fans and we tell our kids we like BYU as as a school we just don't like their football team. We are nice Utah fans and had a BYU party with my family for the Florida St. game. This was another hard game watching BYU lose. So, all the men in the house were a little down but, were back to normal the next day.
This was the back of my niece Sydney's shirt. Isn't that cute?! She has a really creative Mom.

All the Young cousin Grand-daughters. There are not many girls so they have to stick together.

Jason and Hayden hanging out. Hayden is at that age when he laughs and laughs at Jason. He thinks Jason is the best and Jason loves Hayden just as much.

Match Made in Heaven

Since school has been in for a couple of weeks now I have paid more attention to my two girls at home. Jason is gone in the day and these two have so much fun together. I remember being pregnant with Eliza and thinking it would be nice if this baby is a boy for Jason. It would be nice for him to have a brother some what close and then Anne would have a chance later on to have a sister some what close. We found out it was a girl and we were really excited. This past year Anne and Eliza have gotten closer as Eliza has gotten older. At first Anne was Eliza's second mother but, now they are really good friends. It makes me so happy to see them laugh and giggle together. They play house, princess, and both love the color pink. I think that the Lord's hand is really involved when it comes to family planning. As humans we would like to think that you get different genders by how full the moon is but, in reality I think families were chosen before this time. I believe that Anne needs Eliza and Eliza needs Anne. They were meant to come at this time and to help each other here on Earth. They truly were a "match made in heaven."
My two sweeties enjoying the nice weather and playing outside.

Labor Day

Summer has finally ended and it's sad to see the warmer weather go away and the no care feeling summer brings. But, there is always Fall to look forward to with the holidays around the corner and the smell of Autumn to brighten our days. We decided to end the summer with a fun family activity. We went to Liberty Land and we had a good time. We went miniature golfing, played games, and went on rides.
When you are the daughter of a golfer you are taught at a young age the proper technique.

Mike and the kids taking a break from the heat in the shade.

Eliza didn't understand why we were all trying so hard to get the ball in the hole with the club. Why not just walk up to the whole and put the ball in the hole yourself!

The kids enjoying shooting water guns at other people. They came off this ride pretty soaked and Jason wasn't too happy about it. He actually cried the whole way home because he was wet. As you can see in the picture he is having the time of his life. Sometimes I can't figure him out.

In the evening we got together with my parents, Jill, and Joe's family for a Labor Day picnic at a park. We enjoyed playing croquet, basketball, and playing at the park. Mike and Dad tied to win the croquet game and both broke Joe's new mallets while doing that.

Here is my cutest nephew Parker. He is the best baby and check out those eyes! He is perfect!

Mr. Handy Man

I have a handy man for a husband and I couldn't be happier. We have a new front door but, not really. It's our old door but, Mike sanded and sanded and scraped and re-stained it. I think it turned out so beautiful. I am so lucky because if I say I would love for something to get done in a flash my handy man is working on it. He has done so much with our home and everything he does is done to perfection.
My Grandpa Davis was handy man also and I loved seeing him work. My Grandpa lived just up the street from us and I could ride my bike to his house in the summers. He always had a project he was working on or so something interesting to show me. My Grandpa died the summer after I graduated from high school. I missed my handy man and some days were harder than others. As time went on I forgot about having a handy man around until I met Mike. When I started to date Mike he remind me of my Grandpa a little bit. I wish Mike could have met my Grandpa because I think they would have been the best of friends. They would have enjoyed doing handy man stuff together. I know in the next life they will have lots to talk about and handy man work to do.

Purple Belt

On Wednesday Jason got his purple belt. His teachers thought his was doing so well they advanced him a little early. We are proud of Jason and are happy he is reaching his goals.
