Summer Evenings

I love Summer nights in Utah.  There is nothing like them in the entire world I have decided.  I love how we get the clear bright blue skies in the summer.  No haze or pollution in the Valley...It's beautiful!  I got out the camera and caught one of our summer evenings.
Lucy is at the stage of loving dress-ups and she was imagining something this evening.

 Check out that face!

 All these precious faces!

We love playing ball some evenings but, the boys really love it!

Tricks on the tramp are fun too!

Sweet, Sweet Max.  Had to get a picture of him being so good about playing dress-up with Lucy.  Not to many dogs will keep a headband on!

The Young Family

Grandpa Young turned 71 at the end of June!  How I love this man and I am so glad he was born!  I thought we would take a fast family pic since we were all together.  I sure do love all these people and I am so happy to call them family!

History Fair

Jason has been working on this report for about a month and half.  He had to do a written report, this history fair, and then an oral report to his class.  Jason has loved the Titanic story for years and has been fascinated  by the ship and how it sunk.  So, he actually loved getting this all together and teaching others about it.  He made this poster and then he did a science experiment  explaining the law of buoyancy and how the ship sank.  He got an A of course on everything and we are super proud of him!

Herriman Days

We know it's officially Summer once we have had Herriman Days.  We love going to the Herriman parade and getting lots of candy and hanging out with neighbors.  I love this picture of my sweets and my baby!
Getting high fives from the Herriman football team.
That evening we had the Young side over to watch an outdoor movie.  We watched the Lego Movie and then at 10:00 the Herriman fireworks went off.  We are so lucky because the fireworks are right in our back yard!  It was a fun evening with family and "everything was awesome!"

More Fishing!

The evening of Father's Day Mike flew out to Alaska to train a new rep.  So, the deal was if he went up this new rep, who is an awesome fisherman,  he would take Mike out fishing.  So, after visiting his accounts they went out and fished for hours.  The Sun doesn't go down at this time of year so, Mike said they were fishing until midnight but, it didn't look like midnight!
Mike caught on fast and starting catching these bad boys... Salmon.
These boys just love to fish and one weekend they headed up to the Uinta lakes and scored.  They brought home 17 fish.  They had a blast catching them all and made good memories.  I have a bag full of fish in my freezer so I better come up with some good meals with them!

Track and Field 2014

This year Jason's relay team took 2nd in district so, that took them to the County meet at Juan Diego. We spent a good 3 hours at that track watching races and waiting and waiting for Jason to run.  His team did well but, didn't make 2nd place to move on to State.  Jason was disappointed but, he knows there will be other meets and he can try again.

These last three pictures show Jason's cheer leaders!  This is what 3 hours of Track and Field looks like!! :)

Father's Day

I hope these kids know how lucky they are to have such a great Dad in their lives.  He is hard working and will do anything for these kids.  The kids know that Dad is fun and they are in for a good time when he is around.  He is the best at fixing anything and they know that some how Dad will fix it or make it better.  He is always game for any game, outing, and treats!  He is a wonderful example of service and I can't think of a better example for Jason.  I hope all our girl's find a husband as wonderful as their Dad.  We love you Dad/ Mike!!

Fairy Chairs

Eliza had a whole week off while the school was doing Kindergarten testing.  So, we spent a morning with Grandma Young and Sydney making Fairy Chairs.  The girl's had so much fun doing these and the creative juices were flowing.  We still need to find the perfect fairies to sit in the chairs.

Erin and I even tried our hand at one.  I actually just made this one for Lucy because she wasn't to interested in it.
Poor Anne was in school but, we brought home the supplies and she worked on her chair after school.  It was so fun spending time with Grandma and being creative!

Leader in Me

At our elementary school our principle has had the kids do the Leader in Me program.  The kids have learned throughout the year about the 7 habits of highly effective people.  Anne and Will were chosen to speak to the whole 3rd grade about the habit Think Win Win.  They did a great job expressing their feeling and thoughts about this habit.  Good job Anne!!
