3 months old

We took some pictures of Lucy in her blessing dress. Lucy is getting so big and she is such a wonderful baby. She is smiling and has rolled over once. She loves the kids and anytime they talk to her she is all smiles. She loves to be around her family and if she is left alone for a while she will start calling for someone. She talks to me all the time and has so much to say. ( I only wish I could understand her) We love our little Lucy Lu!

# 33

I have to do a shout out to my best friend and husband! He had a birthday and we shouted hooray! His boss was in town over his birthday so we didn't do anything to exciting until the weekend. Grandma watched the kids so we could go out on a date. We sure do love you and are so grateful you were born! Mike keeps us all laughing in this house and he is my favorite person in the world. There is no one I would rather be with than with this guy! Happy Birthday!

Happy 6th Anne!!

Our beautiful Anne turned 6 and I can't believe that she is this old. She is such a joy to have in our home and I can't imagine my life without her wonderful spirit being a part of it. She is a wonderful example to her two younger sisters. They both just LOVE her and Eliza has to be just like Anne. She is very smart and loves to read and write books. I have found tons of books written by her down in her room. She loves to color, draw and be creative. She is a great friend and she has many girlfriends that she enjoys playing with. She helps me so much around the house and with baby Lucy and sometimes she will clean an area of our home better than me! We love our Angel Anne!!!

The weekend before her birthday we went bowling and out to dinner. She played really well and even beat her Mom! Of course Dad came in first but, no one can beat that guy!

On her actual birthday she was so sick. I felt so bad because at school she was the super star and was suppose to talk about herself and hand out a treat. She had the best attitude and she just put a smile on her face and enjoyed her day. She got this new sleeping bag, new ds and wii games, a board game, new crayons and markers, fashion plates, a new art set, and a wallet.

She blew out her candles but, we cut a piece out of her cake when she blew out the candles. She eventually felt better but, it took a couple of days. It was a horrible sickness and we got through it. Happy Birthday Anne!

We have a Bobcat

Jason loves scouting and I love, love being his Den leader. Jason earned his Bobcat and he is now ready to start earning his Wolf. Scouting is such a wonderful activity for young boys and it teaches them how to eventually become great Men and a good citizen of this great country. We are proud of Jason and his achievement in scouting.
Jason with his good friend Hayden. Hayden and Jason were baptized on the same day. They are both in Mrs. Lewis's class and they have become great friends.

Weird, Wild Stuff!

In February, we had some weird things happen in our city. We had a bunch a small earthquakes for a couple of days in a row. It was a little weird and made our days feel a little on edge. We always hear about the big one coming to the Wasatch front but, never really think that day will come. We live right by Utah Lake and I guess one evening there was a huge wave that ran down the lake. The lake is frozen over at this time of year but, it was some big wave that broke through the ice and carried these big chunks of ice over the lake and then it eventually hit our city marina. We went down one afternoon to see the big chunks of ice that this wave threw up onto the marina. I never heard what cause the wave or if it was because of the earthquakes but it was crazy to see. I guess this is really rare so, we took some pictures to document this crazy event.
The wave just threw these ice chunks probably 6 feet onto the marina. The ice looked like a puzzle that needed to be put back together. It makes you feel real small when you realize what mother nature can do.

Basketball Season 2011

This year Jason had a great time playing basketball. This year he was older and one of the more taller boys on the team. We got a basketball hoop last summer and it has helped Jason get more excited about basketball. He definitely was the best ball handler on the team and he would score a bunch each game. He got better at defense towards the end of the season and one game he even had a buzzer beater basket! We had so much fun cheering him on and are proud of his efforts in basketball this year!

Jason was #11 this year. He is dribbling the ball down the court in this pic

Jason's Baptism and Lucy's Blessing

On February 5th Jason was Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was such a wonderful day and it was so neat to see our son make the decision to be baptized. He made the decision on his own and we are so proud of him. He was baptized with his good friend Hayden from the ward. I felt so good inside after Jason was baptized and I know that Heavenly Father is so proud of him. I am so grateful to a wonderful husband who holds the priesthood and was able to baptize Jason. Jason is the perfect son for Mike and I and he is so obedient. I know one day he will make a great missionary and will do his best in all his does throughout his life!
Jason with all the priesthood that helped bless him that day. Paul, Joe, Ryan, Brad, Grandpa, Jason, Josh, Chris, Tom, and Dad

Mike and Josh with the two little sweeties..... Lucy and Emily.

Grandpa Young spoke at the baptism on the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Grandpa Young was the only grand-parent there that day. Grandma Young was home sick with strep and G and G Schwitzer are in Russia. We however skyped G and G Schwitzer in on Lucy's blessing at the home and got to talk with them after the baptism.

After Jason's baptism we came back to our house to bless Lucy. She was so good throughout the blessing and she is such a sweet girl. I am so grateful for Mike and his priesthood blessing our children. It was a special day! After we had some food of course and hung out with family
