Dance Recital

This year Anne took dance from a cute lady in our ward. She had all the girls Anne's age to her home every Monday for dance class. Anne had so much fun and enjoyed taking dance with all of her friends.
We had the dance recital in our backyard. It had rained all morning and we were not sure if the show would go on. By evening the skies cleared but, it was cold. We handed out blankets to the audience and hoped people didn't freeze! The girls danced their dances and then we ran everyone inside for refreshments to get out of the cold.

End of one of the dances striking a pose.

This picture is so fun because all these girls live in our neighborhood and they are all such good friends to each other.

Anne has a sweet Dad who bought her flowers to congratulate her on graduating and doing well at her dance recital.

Anne's Pre-school Graduation

Anne's last day of pre-school was on Thursday and she was so excited. Her pre-school did a cute graduation program and Anne had many parts in the program.
She had a speaking part with Mckinley.

She sang the purple song all by herself! We were proud of her.

She also read a book for the audience and did a wonderful job speaking into the microphone!

Anne and Mckinley had a great year going to pre-school together and learning everything they need to know for Kindergarten.

The proud family with Anne.

Anne and her teacher Mrs. Allen. We all loved Mrs Allen and she helped Anne so much this year. Anne said she would be sad next year when Mrs. Allen would not be her teacher.
Anne learned so much this year and the big accomplishment was learning to read. She enjoys reading books at night before she goes to bed! Nice Work Anne!!!!!!!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Summer!

It finally started feeling at least like spring and knocking on the door of Summer in Utah. We bought this water trampoline to take up to Bear Lake over the Summers. The nice part is we can blow it up and it's fun to jump on it just in our backyard. The kids had so much fun jumping on it yesterday and playing games on it.
We made a fire in our fire pit and made smores to top off our fun day. Here is Eliza roasting a marshmallow.

Anne eating her smore.

Sitting by the fire and talking. We only have two more weeks left of school and we ALL couldn't be more excited. I am excited to have the kids all to myself for a couple of months!

Wheelchair Miracle

I just wanted to write about a miracle that Mike and I were able to witness this past week. One of Mike's customers was in a motorcycle accident and she was very beat up and in intensive care. Mike got a call from another customer telling him what had happened and the worst part is that her husband died while she was in the hospital and she wasn't aware of it yet. She was in need of a wheelchair which are really expensive and sometimes are not covered very well by insurance. They called asking Mike if he had any wheelchairs on hand to give to her. We didn't have one and it would take a couple of days to get a new one to our house. Mike got off the phone feeling really bad for this lady and the trials she would be going through. A few min. later a Fed Ex truck pulled into our drive way which isn't unusual but, Mike saw that they were bringing a wheel chair to our door. We were floored because Mike wasn't suppose to be getting a wheel chair as a sample this year. We opened the door and the wheel chair was the exact wheel chair that this lady needed. We both looked at each other and Mike said, "This chair just came from the Lord." He called the customer to let them know that a chair had just arrived and he would take it to her.

This experience left such an impression on me that the Lord is truly aware of us. This poor lady is sitting in a hospital and finding out that her husband just died. The Lord knew that even just a wheelchair would ease some stress in her life. The Lord is aware of us and knows what we need and will usually answer our prayers through someone else. We were grateful that Mike was able to be the means of helping the Lord in getting her a wheelchair. It was a small miracle but, It strengthened my testimony this week and I hope my kids will always remember that Heavenly Father answers prayers and is aware of you in times of need.

A new nap time

Eliza still needs a nap but, she does not like taking them. Her perfect nap is to find a quiet spot in our house and napping there instead of her bed. The other day she chose the recliner in her room and she took a little snooze. Notice the princess underwear! She is pretty much potty trained and is doing well with going potty on her own. She is getting so big!

Student of the Week!

Last week Jason was named student of the week at his school! He was really excited because his name was announced to the whole school and then we got a special treat from the principal. He got a gift certficate to Applebee's also. His teacher said that Jason always works very hard and is nice to everyone in his class. Congrats Jason and we are proud of you!

There is nothing better.............

than being the Mom to Jason, Anne, and Eliza! I love you all so much and thanks for letting me be your Mom!!!!

Baby Linnea

On March 12th our newest niece and cousin was born! We couldn't have been more excited to welcome this sweet little girl into our family. Brad and JanaLynn named her Linnea which is a family name in the family. My Great-Grandma was Linnea and she was a wonderful woman. She then gave my Grandma her name as a middle name. It is my Mom's middle name and then mom passed it on to me and I passed it on to Anne. Now we welcome baby Linnea to the club of the Linnea's. She is such a cute girl and we love her so much!
The picture above is all the girls in the family with the name Linnea!

Congrats to the Grad!!

Ryan graduated from Idaho State on Saturday. I was really glad I could make the day trip up to celebrate with him in his accomplishment. He is a doctor of physical therapy and made it through all of the schooling! As a family we are so proud of Ryan and Erin!
Ryan, Erin, Sydney, and Brad. They are moving down to Utah and will live 10 min from Mike and I! We couldn't be more excited to have family close by. Ryan will work in Orem and start his physical therapy career. Good Luck Ryan and Erin!!!

Skate Night

Jason's elementary school had a free skate night at Classic so we took advantage of it. It's so fun because they let the kids bring their scooters which they enjoy more than skating. Jason and Anne are king and Queen of the scooter so they were having a great time.

Eliza would let Mike push her on her scooter but, then she got really brave and wanted to follow Jason and Anne. She started running into people and it was pretty scary. She finally let Mike follow her around so she wouldn't cause a crash!
Eliza and her princess scooter.

Check out Max!

This dog loves anything soft. The other day Eliza put him on a bean bag and put a ton of baby blankets on him. He loved being there for hours and was so happy to play the part of baby Max.

Crazy Weather

When Spring hits in Utah it either is really nice weather or cold and weird weather. One afternoon a couple of weeks ago it started hailing. It started coming down super fast and then the hail balls got huge. The wind started to blow really hard and my girls started crying. I took them back to our bathroom because I seriously didn't know if a tornado was hitting or what was going on. Once the hail and wind stop we looked outside and saw the the picture above. I have never seen hail like this in my life! Our trees and flowers were pretty beat up and I am not sure what hit us. It was probably a micro-burst of some kind. All the neighbors started coming out of their homes checking cars and their homes. It was a weird afternoon.
We get some bad Spring winds which in our area bring the best weeds ever....Tumbleweeds. They are the worst weed and we have some kind of wind tunnel in our front yard because they like to collect there. This pile wasn't even close to what it got to in the middle of night. It eventually covered the whole front of our house. Before Jason went to bed that night he prayed that Heavenly Father would take away the tumbleweeds. At about 4 a.m we could tell the the wind had changed direction and they all blew away. I call that a miracle and that Heavenly Father hears the prayer of a 7 year old boy and answers it!
