Last Day of School

It was another successful school year.  The last two weeks of school we were driving from Grandma and Grandpa's to Saratoga Shores.  It was important that we did because these kids loved their elementary and they wanted the time to be with their friends.

Anne had a wonderful teacher Miss Earle.  She helped Anne zoom through 1st grade.  We were lucky to have her.
Jason had Mrs. Gorham and she was a great teacher also.  She helped Jason and was always patient.
A  jump for finishing 3rd Grade!
Anne...Check 1st grade complete.

They both had outstanding end of year report cards!  Nice work kids!

Basement Floor

We love going over to our home and checking to see the progress.  We spent lots of hours there just hanging out and thinking about our home.  We spent one evening running around the basement and the kids had a blast!  This picture is looking toward the bedrooms.
I don't know why I let my one year old run around in pajamas with feet...she was a mess after!

Moving away from Saratoga Springs

So, we sold our home in 5 days and were moved out 1 month later.  Everything went so fast and was obviously meant to be.  Moving and packing was a lot more work than I bargained for.  It took Mike and I that whole month to pack and move our belongings out.  It was a ton of work!  We have moved in to Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer's for a couple of months while they finish our home.

Mike and I spent the last couple days cleaning the house and painting some scuffs on the walls.  My sweet neighbors were so kind to us.  They helped me clean our house, fed us meals, and watched my kids.  We could have not have done what we did without our wonderful family and friends.

Our last day as owners of our home were bitter sweet.  We picked up Jason and Anne from school and told them to say their goodbyes to the house.  I went downstairs and found Jason in his room.  He had tears in his eyes.  I told him it was okay to cry when you leave something you love.  We all got in the car and cried all the way to Cottonwood Heights.

This home was a wonderful place to live.  We loved our neighborhood and it was a good place to us.  So, why did we move?  The spirit has been working on Mike and I for a couple years now.  I would have feelings to move but, there never seemed to be the right house or situation to move so we stayed.  When we found our lot in Herriman it just felt right and we knew that this was our time to go.  I totally trust in our feelings and I know Heavenly Father will help us through the move to our new home.

It's always hard to start over and make new friends but, our family can do Hard Things.  We will always miss our Saratoga home but, look forward to this new home.  We plan on being there forever so, big memories will be in our new home and hopefully, the home we welcome our Grand-Kids to!

New Mountain View Park

One afternoon, after school we headed over to the new park in Cottonwood Heights.  This used to be the elementary school that Auntie Kari went to but, it got torn down and they built this beautiful park.  We had a great time cooling off!

Lucy wasn't happy about being at the park that day.

Footings and Foundation

The home is coming along.  They poured the footings and a couple of days later the foundation was put in.  It's so exciting to see the houses footprint.

Mother's Day

I am so lucky to be the Mother to these 4 amazing kids.  I love all them so much!!!  This picture makes me so happy!

Dance Recital

We were so lucky to have an outstanding dance teacher live right in our neighborhood.  My girls loved taking from Karen and she has made them love the sport and art of dance.  They had a recital in May to show off what they had learned over the last couple of months.  Eliza was in the 3-4 year old class and there were only 3 girls in that class so they got extra special attention.

In the middle of Eliza's dance they had the girl's older sister come and dance with her.  It was so much fun to see Anne and Eliza dancing together!
Hugging at the end of their dance.
Anne was excited because she was now old enough to be in the older class.  She was in the 7-10 year old class.

Anne has amazing technique and she loves practicing at home.  I often find her stretching and working on dance at home.  She also mastered doing the splits!  We are so proud of her.
Dad gave each of you a flower!
All these girl's are in the neighborhood and it was fun cheering for each and everyone of them!
I love Eliza's face in this picture!  She loved being the center of attention.
Anne had so much fun this year.
 Cute costumes.
Eliza's favorite dance move this year was the cat move.  Look at that pointed foot!

Eliza's Joy School Graduation

We are so proud of Eliza this year.  Eliza is my little home body and she loves just being at home with Mom.  So, going to Joy School at friends homes was a big deal for her.  She did it so brave and she made some fun friends.  I loved having the kids for 6 weeks in our home over the holidays.  They are such a good group of kids and I loved teaching Eliza's friends.  She is ready for big pre-school in a couple of months and I can't believe how big my little girl is getting!
 Singing songs.
We are really going to miss the good friends in our Saratoga neighborhood!  Congrats Eliza!

Let The Building Begin!

The next day they dug the big hole for our foundation.  It was so much fun to see where the house would be on the lot and run around it.  The kids loved it and especially loved playing on the huge dirt hills.
 Standing in our house!

A view of how deep the hole was.

We have such beautiful views all around us.  The girl's playing on the big dirt hill.

Ground Breaking!

Here is our lovely lot...the place we will call home.  We thought it would be fun to have our own family ground breaking ceremony before the big machines came in to really do the work.  We said a little prayer and talked about why we were moving and how excited we were to build this home.  Each of us got a chance to dig some dirt!

It was a fun evening with ice cream after!!
