Getting Closer

More pictures and updates of the home.  The outside is painted and it looks great!  It was so scary picking out our exterior colors but, I think it turned out really nice.
Our back patio was poured and it will be nice to have the space to hang out.  We are hoping to move in the next couple of weeks!  We can't wait!

First Day of School

I can't believe they are already starting school but, they are ready to go!   Anne is starting 2nd grade and she has Mrs. Schrieber and Mrs. Moore.  She gets two teachers this year and they seem like fun teachers.
Jason is starting 4th grade and he has Mrs. Soderman.  He has a fun teacher also.  There are 21 girls in his class and 9 boys!  I told him to make friends with those 9 boys fast!  Their new school is Butterfield Canyon Elementary and I have a feeling this will be a good change for both of them.

Back to School Dinner

After our 24th of July activities we headed home to have our traditional back to school dinner.  The theme for this school year is Courage.  We talked about what courage is and ways that they could have courage as they start a new school.  In FHE this year we will talk about different prophets old and young that had courage at different times in their life.

After we all got a blessings which is a special time for our family and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful Dad and husband that holds the priesthood.

I am writing this a couple of weeks after the first day of school and the kids have done so well.  They have made new friends and they are enjoying their new school.  My kids are a huge example to me of what courage is and I am so proud of them!!!

Happy 24th of July

Very early on morning of the 24th Jason, Mike, and Grandpa Schwitzer headed out to Strawberry Reseviour to do some fishing.  It wasn't a very good to day to fish and no fish were caught!  They had so much riding in the boat and being together though.

While the guys were fishing we headed to the parade in down town Salt Lake City.  I love the parade and love to see all the different floats and hang out with family.  Lucy loved the parade this year.  Whenever you tell Lucy to listen she  puts her hand over her fore head.  It's so cute!
 Lucy showing Grandma a float.
We had our three cute pioneer girls at the parade Sydney, Anne, and Eliza.
We headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Youngs and had a lunch.  The kids ran through the sprinklers and then we played some pioneer games.
Joe and Ryan doing a leg wrestle.
Hanging out on the front porch.  We could only stay for a while because we had to head back home to get ready for school the next day!

Feeling More Like Home

They have finished stuccoing the back of the home and putting up the hardy board on the front.   They still need to paint the front but, it's looking so pretty!

All the finish work is done.  I love our mud room area with the cubbies for each of us!
Book Shelves for Mike in is office.
The fire place mantle and work all around the windows look pretty!
Shelving in all the closets.  Lucy is playing hide and seek with me in this picture!  Everything is coming together so nice!

Lucy 18 months

I took Lucy to get some pictures of her at 18 months.  Lucy is so much fun and her little personality is shining at this age.  She knows what she wants and she will fight to get it.  She is talking like crazy and tries to keep up with her two older sisters.  She loves to play with baby dolls and you can find her often with a doll and blanket in her hand.  There are some words we can totally understand and sometimes she will just talk in her own little language.  She loves Elmo, her nie nie, and playing with Jashun, Onne, Wiza, and she calls herself ushy.  We love her so much!!!
She was loving the camera the day we took these pictures.  After I would take a picture she would run to the camera and say " see it" and want to look at the picture on the camera.

I just took some pictures of the girls because Jason didn't want his picture taken.  The girls are always up for a camera shoot!
 Best friend Sisters!

Grandpa Harvey

After Bear Lake we got to spend some time with Grandpa Harvey.  He stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's for a couple more days.  The kids love having him around.

When ever I have all these guys together I have to get the Schwitzer generation picture.  4 generations of great Schwitzer Men!!  Jason is so lucky to have so many good examples in his life.

Lucy loves Grandpa Harvey because he will sit with her and read and read to her.  This day, she would bring him a temple book and he would go through all the pictures and point out the water or ducks in a picture.  It was so cute!

Silver Lake Hike

Since we are living on the East side for the summer we have tried to take advantage of living so close to the canyons.  The kids have hiked Lake Mary, Donut Falls, and now Silver Lake.  We went up one afternoon and walked around the lake and hung out up at Brighton.  It smelled so good up there and the temperature was perfect from the summer heat down in the valley.
 Taking a break with snacks.
We saw lots of ducks and baby ducks.

Bear Lake

We had a great couple of days up at Bear Lake this year.  Our first day there we rented a boat and had so much fun water skiing and just riding in the boat.  We always like to stop in the middle of the lake and swim and around.  Mike and Uncle Joe are hanging out in the Lake in the picture above.
Anne and Eliza enjoying their boat ride.
Auntie Jessica and Jason on the boat.  We loved have Auntie Jessica braid all our hair.  We all looked fabulous thanks to her braiding skills!
Mike and Jason going for a swim.
Just the ladies headed out on the boat for a little a while.  Grandma Young enjoyed driving the boat around the lake.
The next day it was a little less hot and sunny but, it made a great day to just hang out on the beach.
Lucy loved Bear Lake this year and loved playing in the water and sand.

My sweets and I hanging out on the beach!
The girl's loved going out for a swim and talking.
We then decided to just dig a huge hole.  We did pretty good with all our helpers.
 The bocci ball queens!
Anne loved holding Liam and was such a wonderful little baby sitter.

On our third day we just hung out and played games.  After lunch a bunch of people went out to play tennis and more bocci ball.  All of a sudden a huge rain storm came out of no where.  It started pouring so fast.  I was back at the house and watched as Cousins, Uncles, Grandpa, and Aunties came running back to the house.  Everyone was soaking wet but, it was a fun adventure for the kids.  We headed over to Bear Lake Pizza and got some Bear Lake shakes.  We had a great time just being with family!

Wedding Time!

I can't believe my cute cousin Melanie is getting married.  I remember her as a new born baby and babysitting her as a little girl.  She is such a wonderful person and I am so happy she has found such a great guy to marry.  Melanie is getting married on August 7th in the Portland Temple.  I was not able to make her wedding due to moving and such so, we had a fun wedding luncheon for her at Thanksgiving point with some of the Young ladies.
George and Melanie after receiving her endowments.  It was fun to be there for her special day at the temple.

I was so happy to see Allie and finally meet cute Mary.  It's always fun to see your cousins and their kids!  It was a great couple of days of cousin time!
