Fenced In

This past week we finally got out fence!!! We have waited for a while to finally get it and it is so nice to have it up. I am probably the most excited about it because I feel like I can keep all the kids in one area and not worry about them wondering away. ( This mostly applies to Eliza.) Jason and Anne are really good about not going in the road but, Eliza on the other hand runs all over the neighborhood and loves the road! The nice part about our fence is it keeps out our neighbors dog and the tumble weeds that like to collect in our yard when the wind blows.

So, this is our big project for the year. We like to do one big thing with our home each year and this is it. Fences are one of those things you hate to spend the money on but, it's so needed.

Disneyland Trip

It finally arrived our trip to Disneyland and were had a wonderful time! Our kids were at the perfect age where going and seeing Disneyland is so magical. We were gone for a week and went to Disneyland for 3 days. We were able to see and do all that we wanted in those 3 days. I will go through the trip with our pictures and I will warn that there are a lot of Character pictures but, for our kids it was huge to get your pictures with them.
Our first day we drove to Vegas and spent the night. Our kids love staying in a hotel and we went and saw some of the nice pleasant sites of Vegas. We went to MGM and saw the Lion cage! This was interesting because there was a man in the cage putting his face in a Lion's mouth! Hello! That beast could bite your head off but, he didn't seem to care. My kids loved seeing that. We went shopping at the outlet mall in Vegas and then we went to the Belligio to see the water show. That is always so neat and the kids were amazed at how high the water would shoot up.

While we were in the Vegas Mike at his Birthday!! He has now caught up to me in age! We love our husband and Dad and life would be no fun without him. He is always the life of the party at our house and I love him so much! Happy Birthday Mike!!!

We stopped at Mike's Grandpa's for a day. He lives in Southern California so it's always nice to see them when we head down that way. My kids love Grandpa Harvey and Jason loves Grandpa's dog Millie. Jason was in heaven because he got to take Millie for a walk in Grandpa's neighborhood. We had so much fun talking with them and they fixed Mike a fabulous Birthday Dinner!

We finally made it to Disneyland and it was great. Since it's off season it was a lot less crowded and we would only have to wait 5-10 min to get on a ride. The weather was perfect you weren't too hot or too cold. The kids really enjoyed seeing Winnie the Pooh and Tiger and they really like the Winnie the Pooh ride. My kids didn't want to go down any hills or waterfalls. We took them on Pirates of the Carri bean and it almost killed them! So, we mostly stayed in Fantasy land and did what they wanted. The nice part about Disneyland is the parents can go on all the kids rides also so we had a lot of fun with the kids.

In the front of the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle!!

We were taking a little break in this picture and we got some ice cream Popsicles that cost us $4.50 for one Popsicle!! It's crazy how they get your money all over that park!
Anyways, in this picture Eliza is crying because she is tired and Jason is just as happy as can be eating his treat. Notice the huge chocolate mustache all over his face. Kids are funny like that when they eat chocolate. No matter how small or big the piece of chocolate is somehow it makes it way all over the face.

Eliza loved Winnie the Pooh and we bought her this stuffed Pooh Bear. She loves it so much and would just hug the Bear and not let anyone take it away!

The famous Mickey ears hat! The flowers at Disneyland were so pretty. They had beautiful poppies and tulips all over the park! We took these pictures of the kids in the front of the poppies.

One morning we went to the Minnie and friends Breakfast in Disneyland Park. This was so much fun because our kids got to meet so many characters. Each of the Characters come to your table and give personal time with your family. It was nice for my kids to get a moment with them and even Eliza liked seeing them! We saw Minnie, the Chipmunks, Tiger, Captain Hook, the Fairy Godmother, the rabbit from Alice and Wonderland, and Eeyore. This breakfast was awesome and the food was really good too.

The longest line at Disneyland is to meet the princesses. We waited in line for an hour and half to meet 3 princesses. It's really fun though, because again Anne got one on one time with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White ( or Snow Wipe as she calls her). The princesses were all so cute with Anne and she said her favorite was Snow White

We went to Laguna Beach one afternoon and had a lot of fun seeing the ocean. We saw some tides pools that had 3 huge star fishes in them. It was a beautiful beach and we had so much fun listening to the ocean. It was a little too cold to play in the water but, still a good time.

We went over to California Adventure and that is a really great Park. Jason got to have his picture taken with Lightening McQueen and Mater. The have a cute kids area with the theme of bugs life and we were able to just walk on all these rides. Mike went on Tour of Terror and I couldn't bring myself to do it. We went on the ride where you fly around California and that was really neat.
I got to visit with my good friend Mandi who also lives in California. It was so good to visit and catch up with her. Her kids are about the same age as ours so they had fun playing at her house. She has always been such a good friend to me and I wish we lived closer. Thanks Mandi for letting us crash at your house. It was a good break for the kids!!!

On the way home we stopped in Vegas again and saw my brother and his family. It was so nice to see them again and they made us a really really good dinner! Thanks Rob and Lezlie!!! There kids are so cute with our kids and we had a good time talking and catching up.
I love going on vacation but, I am always so glad to get back home. On our way home the kids were so excited to get back home and they would talk about what toys they wanted to play with first when we got back. We got back home to find all is well and safe and we have so many great memories from this trip! Hopefully, we can make it back in a couple of years!!
