Lucy's Baptism

It was a beautiful winter afternoon to be baptized on.  Lucy looked so pretty in her white dress against the white snow.  These days are always so big and I try to catch all the moments, but sometimes I miss some moments with my camera.  I guess I am taking more of a mental picture.  This will be a day I will always remember and I hope it's a day that Lucy will always remember.

It was extra special for Lucy to be baptized with her cousin Emily.  These two are 10 days apart and they just love each other.  It was a special day for these two cousins

She was baptized by her Dad.
 Grandpa and Grandma Schwitzer
 Two brothers with their daughters!
Our family!  Jason spoke at her baptism and did a great job.
Grandma and Grandpa Young.  We had lots of family, but I did not get pictures of everyone.

My favorite part about having my daughters baptisms are the moments after they get out of the font.  After Lucy was baptized I wrapped her in her towel and asked her how she felt.  She said, "Mom I felt the spirit so strong".  So grateful that the spirit testified to her that what she had done and felt was true and right.  So grateful that Lucy has the Gift of the Holy Ghost to protect her and help her find truth through out her life.  What a blessing the Holy Ghost is in our lives.

After the baptisms we had a dinner with both sides of families.  It was such a special day and we were glad that Lucy was able to baptized up in Utah with family.

Christmas Day

I was not very good this year!  I did not take any great pictures on Christmas day or morning!  We did have a great Christmas and we did all our great traditions on Christmas morning.  We ate a yummy breakfast and then opened our presents.  I did take a picture of the kids with their favorite gift this year.  The rest of the day was spent getting ready to head up to Utah for our Winter break.

Anne loves her Sprocket printer to print out pictures from her phone!
Lucy loved her American Girl Doll School!
Eliza loved her new bed spread!
Jason loved his new golf clubs!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning the kids exchanged gifts from each other.  I love this tradition and the kids love to give to each other.

That afternoon we went to A Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater.   It's always such a fun and festive play.
That night we invited the Manwaring family over for Christmas Eve dinner and activities.  After we were done eating Santa showed up at our door with Mrs. Claus.  He brought each of the kids a  special gift and lots of love!

We did the Nativity scene and Lucy and Crew were Mary and Joseph.
 That night Santa came!

Christmas Sunday

Love all these sweet faces!
Lucy had to say goodbye to her good friend Will Purser.  The Pursers moved to CA over Christmas.
Christmas oranges are the best thing down here in the desert.  I like to call it liquid gold!
The kids got to open their first gift which was the game corn hole.  We have enjoyed having this game in our back yard all winter.

We had so much fun taking this sweet girl to take her baptism pictures at the Gilbert Temple.  They turned out so cute.  Love this sweet face!

Lucy is so lucky to have such wonderful big sister in Anne!

December Little Things

Eliza has learned to play the violin through school.  They had a Christmas performance and she did great!
The Beyers send us their amazing Christmas cookies through the mail.  It was so sweet of them!  We felt like angels had given us a little extra love this Christmas.  We ate them fast!
We took Lucy to her first Nutcracker.  We went out to dinner and then to the ballet.  It was so fun to be together as just the girls!
We said goodbye to good friends
Lots of pictures of Max in his santa hat!
Anne made this cool drawing in her art class!
