BYU Women's Conference

I had the opportunity this year to attend Women's Conference with all these awesome ladies.  The theme was One in Charity.  We attended some wonderful classes and I enjoyed hanging with my sisters and Mom all day.  It was beautiful on the campus of BYU and my heart and soul were filled that day!

MTC

Grandpa Schwitzer spoke at the MTC again.  Eliza and Lucy were not super excited to go so, I stayed home with them while Mike took Jason and Anne.  I love when we all get together for a picture like this.  Seeing all these cousins together gets me excited to see them all enter the MTC one day.  So far Jacob is on his way and Emma just announced that she will be turning her papers in this Summer!  So happy my kids have these great examples in their lives!

I Was A Stranger

One Sunday the girls and I were able to make blankets for the Refugees coming to Utah.  We made three blankets and the girls did most of the tying of these fleece blankets.  It's a small act of service, but I hope it made my girls happy to do a little service for a complete stranger.  We hope these blankets keep them warm during the upcoming cold months in Utah.

Grandpa Harvey's 90th Birthday Party

We had such a fun day celebrated Grandpa Harvey!  It was so fun being with family and learning more about this great man.  He grew up in Iowa, Joined the navy when he was 17, and served on the submarines as a signal man.  He loved ice skating, had a horse named Flossy, loved to dance the jitter bug with Grandma Gloria, and loves the game of golf.  It was a fun party and how we all love Grandpa Harvey!
He played the harmonica for all of us and he is really good!!
The kids all got to make birthday cards for him and there was a table with tons of pictures from his life out to look at.
Here he is telling a funny story.  We hope Grandpa enjoyed this party.  All his family and some old friends were able to be there!

Field Trip for Eliza

Eliza had the opportunity to go to the Children's Museum at Thanksgiving Point for a 2nd grade Field Trip.  I wasn't able to go, a sweet Mom sent me these fun pictures.  Eliza had such a fun time!

Eliza is so much fun!  If I was a 2nd grader I would for sure want to be her friend!  Eliza told me that one day in class she was laughing about something.  One of the girls in her class said, " Eliza you have a very attractive laugh."  We all thought that was a funny thing to comment on, but Eliza really does have such a fun laugh.

Old Friends

Our dear Young Women leader Diane Larsen lost her husband in April.  Some of us that were her YW back in the day decided to get together and support her.  We got together to have breakfast and catch up and then headed to the funeral.  It was good to catch up with all these fun ladies.  All of them impacted my life in one way or another.  We had lots of good laughs over breakfast.  Hopefully, we can all get together again on a more happy note!  L-R  Hailee Wallace, Angela Esplin, Sarah Rollins, Lorrie Orton, Me, Jen Carpenter, Marti North, and Heather Cowley.
