Grandpa Young

We celebrated Grandpa Young Birthday.  We just had a dinner at our house and enjoyed hanging out with him!

I hope my kids will always remember what a wonderful Grandfather they have.  Grandpa has had many trials in his life that he has overcome with faith and his testimony of the atonement.  Grandpa is one of the most Christ like people I know.  Growing up he would do anything for me and I knew I could always count on my Dad.  I remember one time being down at College at UVU and my car had broken down.  I could not figure out what was wrong.  I called my Dad from a pay phone on campus and explained that the car would not start.  He drove all the way down to Orem to see what was wrong.  It ended up being a loose screw in the battery.  He screwed the screw in tight and my car started immediately!  I remember thinking how much I loved my Dad.  He drove all the way down to do 2 minutes of work to help me.  Growing up Dad never yelled at me.  I knew when he was disappointed in me, but he never yelled.  I remember when I got in a car accident in High School that was my fault I was really worried about my parents being upset.  My Dad sat me in my room and talked about being more aware as I drove, but he was more grateful that I wasn't hurt.  He said I can fix that car, but if something happen to you that would be the most hurtful.   How grateful I am for Dad that loves me through all my faults and shows me what true patients and love is!

Hiking in the Uintas

Our family loves it up in the Uintas.  It's so pretty and so much great fishing.  One Saturday we decided to take a little day trip up there.  We hiked up to Wall Lake.
There were still patches of snow up there.  We enjoyed throwing snowballs at each other to cool off!

Lucy at Wall Lake with her wild flowers she collected while hiking.
We tried catching some fish with no luck this time around.

We then headed over to Teapot Lake to try the fishing there.  Jason is such a good brother to his younger sisters.  He is very patient has he reviews with them how to fish.
No fish caught at Teapot either!  We just enjoyed being up in the mountains together as a family!

Bear Lake Trip over Father's Day

We went up to Bear Lake over the weekend and enjoyed our time up there with just our family.  I didn't take very many pictures, but we had so much fun.  We ate at Bear Lake Pizza, got shakes, stayed up late watching movies, and enjoyed playing on the beach and water.  One of the neighbors in  the Bear Lake neighborhood even took us out on his boat which was so much fun.

One morning the boys went fishing while the girls and I enjoyed relaxing at the house.  The girls all were out on the deck coloring pictures of the lake.
Sunday was Father's Day and we made Dad a special breakfast in the morning and headed out to Church in Bear Lake.  These kids are so lucky to have this guy as their Dad.  What a blessing to have him in their lives!

Lucy's Pre-school Graduation

Check out this face!  She was so happy to graduate from pre-school!  She loved every moment of this school and learned so much.  She is very ready to start Kindergarten.
Lucy was so fun to watch through the pre-school performance.  She sang every word perfect and did every action right on beat!

We all came to support her and cheer her on!

Her end of school year jump!  A little blurry, but she is ready to start school at the big school with the rest of her sisters!

Schwitzer Family 2016

We had extended family pictures before Jacob set out to serve a mission.  How we love all these people in this picture and are so happy to be with them forever!
We also took individual family pictures and we loved how this picture turned out!

Anne's Dance Recital

It was a hard year for dance with Anne.  We were broken hearted when Sherrie quit teaching and were trying to find someone to finish out the year.  We did find Jena and Anne liked it, but not enough to stay next year.  We were grateful for Jenna taking Anne Mid- year.  Anne danced beautiful and did a great job as always!
 Dancing friends!
Dad is always good to bring his little sweethearts flowers after they perform!

Braces again, and Touring the State Capitol.

Anne got her second phase of braces put on.  She is always so good with braces.  She never complains and wears them like a champ.
After we got her braces on we headed to the State Capitol to take a tour.  It is a beautiful building with a ton of history all over it.  Plus, Jason was able to pass off a requirement for a merit badge!  Fun day.

Emma Graduated from Riverton High School
Jared graduated from a High School in Las Vegas.

Proud of these kids and the good example they set for our kids!

Last Day of School

The last day of school is always such a fun day!  There is a lot of excitement in the air as we get ready for a break from school for 3 whole months!  Anne's class had a fun Hawaiian party to say farewell to 5th grade.  Anne was in Ms. Thorn's class and really enjoyed being in such a fun class!

Jason not really happy about doing a jump, but I made him!  End of 7th grade for Jason.  He made it through his first year of Middle School!
Anne finished up 5th grade!  She is excited to rule the school next year!
Eliza loved 2nd grade.  I told Eliza that I loved 2nd grade so much.  I still remember it being one of my favorite grades in elementary school.  She had a great year!
The girls got lots of awards... They both got their Brilliant Bobcat which requires a little extra work throughout the school year.  Super proud of their hard work!

Let the Summer begin!  Even Mom is extra excited to have a break from schedules and getting up early to head to school.  This Summer will be a blast!
