Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year.  In the morning Sydney got baptized so we went to that and enjoyed being with family.  We then came home and got ready for all the fun in the evening.  This will probably be Jason last year trick or treating.  He got together with a bunch of guys from the neighborhood.
Anne decided to head over to Uncle Paul's neighborhood.  She wanted to get a lot of candy and when you got with Uncle Paul's family that is what you get.  She came home with 9 pounds of a candy!!
Lucy was Alice in Wonderland.  She had a fun party at her pre-school too.
Eliza was Cleopatra.  She decided to stay home with Lucy and go around our neighborhood trick or treating.  I went out with them and it was fun to watch them go from house to house.  It got pretty cold once the sun went down so the girls were done around 8:00.  We made some hot chocolate and went through their candy.  Jason and his friends then came over to hang out after trick or treating.  Another Halloween on the books!  I love this time of year and enjoy the Fall so much!

Days before Halloween

We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkins.
We finally got to be in a school Halloween parade again.  The last couple of years we have been off track during Halloween, and missed out on all the fun activities during Halloween.  They had the parade outside around the school.  It was a little cold that day, but I thought it was a great idea.  I just brought a camp chair, and didn't' feel like I needed to be there extra early to find a seat!

 We carved pumpkins.

I thought all their pumpkins turned out perfect!

Lucy carved a kitty cat face.  I thought it was so cute and orginal!

Spooky Dinner

Grandma Young hosted the Young Family spooky dinner.  The kids always look forward to this night and Grandma always does such a great job.  This year we were all little crazy because the spooky dinner was the same day as Eliza's baptism and Sydney's birthday.  So, there were lots of things going on that day, and by the time we all got together I think we were all tired!  We, however, got to see each others costumes and have a spooky dinner together.  The Joe Youngs above.
Check out those sweet faces!  This will be Jason's last year dressing up!
Briggs won best costume.  He was the Grandpa from the movie Up!  Such a cute idea.
Grandpa Young was spooky in his mask!
 The Ryan young family!
 Brad Young family.
A look at the spooky tables set up for the kids.  Every corner of Grandma's house had something Halloween on it.  We had a great night!

Eliza's Baptism

It was a beautiful Fall morning for Eliza's Baptism.  She was scheduled to be baptized at 9 am so, we were up early to get ready.  She was glowing this day and I know angles were around her that day!

She now has two white dresses and Heavenly Father is so proud of her!
Eliza is so lucky to have a Dad that holds the priesthood!
She was baptized with 2 other boys from our ward.   Our family had no talks, but Grandma Young lead the music and Auntie Cathy played the piano.  It is so neat for me as the Mom to help my daughters after they are baptized.  I felt like I was watching Eliza be born again!  While she was standing waiting to be baptized the veil was removed from my eyes and Heavenly Father gave me a glimpse of why he loves Eliza sooo much!  It is an experience I will never forget.  Once she was baptized I get that perfectly clean spirit in my arms and it's the same feeling I had when she was born.  After, we put back on her dress and she received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Mike gave her a beautiful blessing, and I am so grateful that she will have this gift throughout her life!  Eliza is now a covenant daughter of God.  This makes her more special and unique than other daughters of God on the Earth.  I hope she always remembers this day and remembers the covenants she made this day.  It's through covenants that  we are helped through trails and given strength and power to overcome temptation!
Grandma Young made Eliza this beautiful handkerchief.  It has her initial on it.  Grandam wrote her a beautiful letter about how this white handkerchief can be with her through all her covenant making.
I have to apologize to Eliza!  I was not the best at taking pictures this day.  I got the most important ones, but know that you had lots of Aunt, Uncles, and cousins there to support you on this day.  You are so lucky to have such a great family support!

Passing off the Chili Coat

In 1st ward I was the Chili Champ  and had the coat.  Since then we have split from 1st ward, but they invited our family back so, I could pass on the coat.  We miss this ward so much!  It was fun to go back and catch up with everyone!
I also had to judge the chili which was hard, but Jim Hawkers chili was amazing!  He won and I passed the coat on to him!

Fall Break Fishing

On Friday, we headed up to the Uinta's to do some fishing.  We decided to fish Lake Washington and it was super pretty up there.  Most of the Fall color was gone, but it's always so peaceful, and we always have a great time as a family!
We can not fit everyone on the boat so we go out in shifts.
While and Lucy and I were waiting on the shore the most crazy thing happen.  There was a small tornado type wind by the lake.  I could hear this rushing down coming down the mountain and I could not figure it out.  It was so loud and I was starting to get nervous.  Was is water? rocks? I could see trees falling down the mountain.  Mike was in the Lake and started yelling.  All of a sudden I could see this wind tunnel coming down the mountain heading for Lucy and I.  I grabbed Lucy and we ran by a huge rock for protection.  It luckily passed by us, but branches and dirt were flying everywhere!  It was quite the adventure and  memory I will never forget.
Lucy caught a bunch of fish!  She would get so excited and she would reel them in.  She was always so brave and would want to hold the fish and then let them go back in the water.

I even caught some fish!  It actually is so much fun in the canoe and we have a blast because we are catching a fish every 5 minutes!   We caught 22 fish that day, but we just caught them and then released them back in to the lake.  Once the sun went down it got really cold so, we headed back down in the valley for some dinner.  It was the perfect Fall activity!

Fall Break Late Night with Cousins

So, during Fall Break we had a late night with all the Schwitzer girl cousins.  At the end of the night I was sad because I never took any official pictures.  But, then I looked on my phone and the older girls had taken some while they were making movie with American Girl Dolls.  We had the younger girls too, but I have no pictures of them just the older girls.

They made this funny movie.  I still am not sure what it's all about, but they think it's hilarious!
We had homemade pizza, made homemade lipgloss, played, made movies, and then they watched a movie.  It was a fun night having all the girls over!

Cousin Baptism Pictures

We all headed downtown to take pictures of Sydney and get some pictures of these two cute cousins together.  They both are getting baptized this month and it's special for them to share these memories together!  The Temple grounds were so pretty and it was the perfect evening for some fun pictures!

Erin bought the girls baby breath wreaths which were so cute on them.  They are the thing now because every bride we passed on the grounds at some kind of flower wreath on their head!
These girls have so much fun together!

This was an Eliza moment!  I was walking ahead of her and she said, " Hey mom take my picture now!"  I turned around and saw this cute pose!  This is our Eliza so full of laughter and joy!
 I love these two girls!

We had Auntie Jill, Grandma Young, Anne, and Lucy come also to assist in the picture taking.  After we all went out to dinner.  It was a fun evening!
