Happy 8th Birthday Eliza

How we love our Eliza May!  She brings us so much joy and happiness.  She is always ready to have a good time and she loves to laugh and tell funny stories.  She is also very sensitive to others needs.  She has a friend that is going through some really hard times.   Her parents are getting a divorce and Eliza feels so bad for her.  Every night she prays for this friend and others.  I love that she has faith that Heavenly Father will help her friend.  She is very smart and does well in school.  She loves to draw and color and right now we have her art lessons.  We were so excited to spend a day celebrating her!
She woke up and opened a couple of presents.
She got some new doll clothes to go with her….
Newborn baby doll!  She has been wanted this type of baby doll for a while.  She is the best mom and takes care of that baby so well.  While she is away at school it is my job to baby sit her baby!
That morning we got her all ready for church and for the day.  Then during Sacrament meeting she said she did not feel well.  Her throat and stomach hurt.  With those symptoms I knew she had strep throat.  Grandma and Grandpa Schwitzer happened to be at church with us to celebrate Eliza.  So, Grandma and I came home with her while the others finished church.
We didn't want Grandpa Schwitzer to get strep since he had to speak in conference in one week so, we sent them home and canceled her birthday party not wanted to get other family members sick.  So, the rest of the day was just spent with our little family.
She opened the rest of her presents and even gave me some smiles.  She got a journal.
 A scripture case.
 Her scriptures!
We then cut her a piece of cake to blow out the candles so, she wouldn't get the rest of us sick.  She made a wish for her 8th year.
After a dinner and cake we headed outside.  It was such a warm wonderful day.
Lucy was so sweet and pushed Eliza around in the wheel chair.

With her baby on her lap she enjoyed the fresh air.  We got her on some medicine and the next day she was feeling better.
This is a horrible picture, but just to document that on the night of her birthday it was a red moon!
Happy Birthday our sweet, sweet Eliza!!
