Paris on a Friday

It's always fun eating outside right on the streets of Paris!
Perfect Paris picture!  Tree lined street with an artist on it.  I felt like I was in a movie!
The cute flower boxes under windows.
On the Seine River there are these little shops.  They can only sell old items so, it was so fun to look through.  This one guy was selling really old books and had bibles that were published in 1615.  Mike was loving it!  Mike really wanted one of the bibles but, they were all in French, and the guy wanted 2,000 Euros for one.  So, we backed away and just enjoyed holding something that old.

 Seine River
We loved walking through Sainte-Chapelle.   It has been said to be the greatest architectural masterpiece of the Western World.  Once inside I could see why!
Each of these stain glass windows were one of the books in the bible.  As you walked around the chapel it told the story of Christ.  It was built in 1248 by Louis the IX and housed the crown of thorns until they were moved to Notre-Dame.

I loved the starry blue ceilings with the unbelievable stain glass windows.  We just sat and enjoyed this beautiful chapel.
