Happy Fourth of July!

I love the 4th of July.  It's my favorite Summer holiday and we had a great holiday this year.  We started the morning off by going to the 33rd ward 4th of July breakfast.  It was fun to catch up with old friends.  In the afternoon we headed over the pool and swam with Grandma and Grandpa Young and Auntie Jill.  It was a really hot day so going to the pool was a perfect afternoon activity.  We headed back home to have a get together with all the Schwitzers.  We had an all American BBQ which was really yummy.  We then got together to talk about how grateful we were to be Americans and how grateful we are the for men and woman that fight for our freedom.
Cute Mike....Proud to be an American!
Paul got together Grandpa Harvey's war medals and put them together in a shadow box.  He was overcome with emotion as we all stood and clapped for Grandpa.  We are so grateful for his service on behalf of our family!

We owe so much to this wonderful man.  He was in the Navy and served on submarines.  He is brave hero and an example to all of us.  He was also the first Schwitzer to join the church.  He now has generations of Schwitzers that are strong in the gospel.  We love you Grandpa Harvey!

That evening we went up to the old Bulter Church and watched fireworks all over the Salt Lake Valley.  We had a wonderful holiday!
