Weird, Wild Stuff!

In February, we had some weird things happen in our city. We had a bunch a small earthquakes for a couple of days in a row. It was a little weird and made our days feel a little on edge. We always hear about the big one coming to the Wasatch front but, never really think that day will come. We live right by Utah Lake and I guess one evening there was a huge wave that ran down the lake. The lake is frozen over at this time of year but, it was some big wave that broke through the ice and carried these big chunks of ice over the lake and then it eventually hit our city marina. We went down one afternoon to see the big chunks of ice that this wave threw up onto the marina. I never heard what cause the wave or if it was because of the earthquakes but it was crazy to see. I guess this is really rare so, we took some pictures to document this crazy event.
The wave just threw these ice chunks probably 6 feet onto the marina. The ice looked like a puzzle that needed to be put back together. It makes you feel real small when you realize what mother nature can do.
