Happy 9th Birthday Jason!

Happy Birthday to my favorite boy. Jason was really excited this year for his birthday and I think he had a great day. He deserves a special day because he is an outstanding kid and tries his best at everything in his life. Mike and I couldn't be prouder of him and are so grateful to have him in our family.
Before school we let him open his presents. He got some new books that he wanted.
Another wii remote so we can now have 3 people play at the same time.
His big present were his new golf clubs. He is old enough to have his own set now and he can't wait to use them once it gets a little warmer outside.
We went out to dinner that night at Wingers.
After dinner we headed over to Trafalga to have some fun. We played some roller ball.

We also did some rock climbing. The older kids and adults enjoyed this one!

We then came home to have some cake and ice-cream. Jason made a wish for this coming year and I hope they come true! We love you so much Jason and know this will be a wonderful year for you!

Wolf Earned

Jason earned his Wolf badge and we are so proud of him. He has been in my Wolf Den this past year and I have really enjoyed having him in scouts. We made a lot of great memories and I loved watching learn and grow through scouting. I am sad to see him move on but, excited for his new adventures in Bears.
They do a little ceremony at Pack Meeting when a boy earns a big award. I went a little crazy on the face paint. Sorry Bud! You still look so handsome though.

A Mild, Calm, Winter

We have had the strangest winter this year with no snow. We have had a dusting of snow but, nothing that has allowed our kids to go play in it this year. In all honesty, I have actually enjoyed no snow. I really missed it around Christmas but, I am good with no snow in the valley. My kids have really enjoyed keeping up on their outdoor activities. We just put on some coats and gloves and call it good. One afternoon it was actually in the lower 50's the kids were loving being outside with just a light coat or jacket. I had to get some action pictures of the kids.

I love this picture of Eliza...Pure happiness!

Mike, Jason, and Jimmy played a game of basketball. Jason and Jimmy beat Mike!

Riding bikes is a favorite in this family.
Our sweet Lu Lu was loving being outside with all the kids.
This is what I found the other day in the bathroom. Lucy had found her hair bows and put them in her hair. She also found some vaseline and had smeared it all over her face! She was so proud of herself.

South Pacific Birthday

I had a great birthday this year. I am now 34 years old! On my actual birthday Mike was out of town for meetings but, I still had a wonderful day. In the evening Joe and Jessica and boys brought me dinner. It was so thoughtful of them to think of me. Then Mom and Jill brought me my favorite dessert...cheesecake later that night. Mom then gave me a card with tickets to the Broadway musical South Pacific! This was such a fun present! Mike made it back from Florida just time to be my date. Mom and Dad watched the kids while Mike and I went out to dinner and then to the play. Mike and I had not been to a play in long time so we really enjoyed ourselves. It was Broadway material so it was extra good and fun to watch!
I am excited to start my 34th year and it should be a good one.

2011

The last post for 2011. As I write this 2011 is almost coming to an end. These pictures are the last sunset of 2011. We get the best sunsets out here!

As I think about this year it has been quite a year for our family. It definitely was the year of the baby. It has been so much fun watching Lucy grow and I can't believe how fast she has grown. Our whole family has loved taking care of Lucy. It was so exciting to watch Jason be baptized this year. I am so grateful for his decision to be baptized and join the church. We blessed Lucy in our home which was so special for us. There were trips up to Bear Lake with both sides of family. Our eventful trip to San Diego which started out crazy but, ended being such a fun time with all of us. Mike and I will never forget going to Rome and experiencing that great city. There were lots of bike riding, playing board games, swimming lessons, dance, piano, basketball, golf, and just being together. I want my family to know how much I love them and love being their wife and mother. These are such special times for me and I hope my kids always remember the good times they had with their Dad and I. Here's to a great New Year!!

Christmas Eve

We had such a fun Christmas Eve this year. Our kids love doing puzzles and we spent the day doing different puzzles. The kids big challenge was the 500 piece puzzle and they did it!
In the evening, Grandma and Grandpa Young and Auntie Jill came over to have Christmas Eve with us. We had a nice dinner and then did the nativity. We also took a drive around our neighborhood to see our whole neighborhood lit up by luminaries. It was so pretty.
We then had our tradition of having chocolate pudding for dessert. Jason had the almond in his pudding this year so he got to open the family present. This year the present was some Wii games and an illustrated Book of Mormon.
Auntie Jill made Max this cute ornament for our tree. It's a picture of him. Good Work Jill!
Lucy loves to read and had Grandma Young reading Christmas books to her.
Cute Grandpa Young with his BYU hat on.
After dessert we opened our Christmas P.J's and read Twice the Night Before Christmas then kids went to bed.
