Happy 9th Birthday Eliza

 How we love this girl!  We were so happy to celebrate this girl for a day.  We love Eliza and her funny sense of humor.  She has the best laugh and can get us all laughing.  She loves being with her friends and playing American Girl Dolls with her sisters.  She enjoys doing art and she is learning to play the piano.  We love you Eliza!!

Getting Ready to Move

 Mike's company offered him a job promotion, but it would take us to Phoenix, AZ.  We prayed and thought about it, and finally felt like moving to Arizona is what the Lord wanted our family to do.  So, we started the process of getting the house ready to sell.  We had two neighbors that were interested in the home so, we never had to get a realtor or put it on the market!  We sold our house and then started the search in AZ.  We knew we wanted to be in the Gilbert area of Arizona and started to look for homes there.  We found a home on line that we really liked and the realtor said the home would go fast.  We flew down the next day to look at it.  We looked at the home and new immediately this was our home.  We made an offer and they accepted!  It finally got settled in that we were really going to move!  I took some pictures of our home in Herriman to remember this beautiful house we called home for 4 years.

Fun September Moments

 Emma got her Mission call to Rome, Italy!  We are so excited and happy for her!

 BYU/ Utah football game.  We went to Paul and Kari's to watch the game and hang out!  Utah won again so, I had a house of happy boys!

My cute Lucy lost her first tooth!  We love our baby girl!

Labor Day

 On Labor Day we did a little laboring and cleaning out our garage.  Later in the day we headed up the canyon to silver lake to walk around the lake and have dinner with the Young side!

Spiral Jetty and Great Salt Lake

 Auntie Jill has been talking about the Spiral Jetty and the pink area of the Great Salt Lake for years.  We finally made our way out there with her and Grandma and Grandpa Young.  It was a long drive out there, but worth the trip!

 We first went and explored the Spiral Jetty.

 We then went out to the Great Salt Lake and floated in the water!  It was so neat to float effortlessly in the water!  I had never experienced anything like it.  It was hard for Lucy and she did not like the lake, but the older kids did.

 When we came out of the water we had salt covering us!  It looked like snow!  We had very nice skin after this trip!

It was a fun adventure out to the Great Salt Lake.  So grateful Jill took us all out to see it!

Lucy's First Day of Kindergarten

 I am not sure how this day happened, but it has.  My last baby started school!  She has been so excited to start.  She has watched all her older siblings go to school each day and she has spent time in the school helping me volunteer.  She was very ready for Kindergarten.  I put on my brave face and waved goodbye as she walked in the school.  But, as I walked back to my car the tears flowed freely.   I start a  new era of my motherhood!  Next year will be very different when she is gone all day.  I will take it gradually and will enjoy my lunches with my sweet Lu Lu!

Last Camping Trip

 We headed up to the Uintas for one last camping trip of the year.  How our family loves this place and enjoy the memories we make up there.  I drove up with the kids after school.  Mike went up earlier in the day to set up camp and do some fishing.  We ended up just having the two olders camp with Mike while I took the two youngers back home after dinner.  We thought having Mike talk with the two older kids about moving, in the peace and  quiet of the mountain, might be good for them.  It ended being an inspired decision as Mike said that he was able to to talk to our two older kids about moving.  It was peaceful, quiet, no distractions, and he was able to tell the kids why we might be moving.  There were some tears, but in the end they understood and told Mike they supported the decision.  They are such good kids. I know this move will not be easy on them, but I know that Heavenly Father will be there to support them!
