Banff

We spent the day up in the Canadian Rockies!  They are so pretty and we enjoyed looking at all the beautiful scenery.
Our first stop was the famous Lake Louise!  We took lots of pictures and hiked a little bit around the lake.

We then went and got some lunch and then headed to other areas of the park.  We walked around down town Banff and  Loved this beautiful area.  Mike and Jason really wanted to fish this river!

We saw the cave and basin where a snail lives in the pools that lives no where else in the world.  They were really small and hard to see, but it was interesting.
We were driving up to Johnstons Canyon when on the the side of the road we saw wild bear!  The picture is blurry, but it was exciting to see.
We hiked up to the lower falls and it was well worth the hike!
Hiking up to the lakes we had to take these crazy bridges.  We felt like we were in Stars Wars or something.  It was a really pretty and fun area of the park!
After all our hiking we headed to Spaghetti Factory and then back to the Vivier's to crash and go to bed!

Instant Friendships in Canada

We finally made it to Calgary and we had the opportunity to stay with Laura and Chris and their family.  Our kids instantly loved being together and formed fast friendships.  It's amazing how having some of the same blood just bonds people!  The Vivier's had fun hats and Canadian gifts for our kids. We spent of the rest of the day catching up, getting together with other cousins, and eating yummy Canadian Chinese food!

I had such a great week getting know Laura better!  She is one of the most loving, caring, down to earth person I know!

O Canada! The Drive up!

The drive up to Calgary is a long one, but the kids did amazing.  We took small breaks and watch lots of movies to pass the time!
We took a break at the Idaho Falls Temple to stretch the legs.
We finally made it up to Montana to stop and sleep over.
The kids enjoyed swimming with cousins and having the break from the car!

The next day we crossed the border into Canada and drove through these beautiful yellow canola fields for hours!

We made a stop in Lethbridge to eat some pizza with some of the cousins.  It was fun traveling up with family!  It made stops more fun!

A Drop Of Awesome

Anne's cute group of friends started a girls band.  They names their band, A Drop Of Awesome.  They got to perform at a little recital and they played great.  Anne plays the keyboard, Aleah on the drums, Hallee sings and guitar, Paige guitar and sings.  Cutest group of girls!

Lucy is the Luckiest

Being the youngest does have it's advantages.  Lucy is the pride and joy of all of us!  We all enjoy helping her grow and making her confident in herself.  I caught a couple of moments this summer where her older siblings took time to help her.  Jason spent an evening hanging out with Lucy and teaching her the game of croquet.
Anne spent a whole afternoon teaching Lucy how to ride a bike!  It was the sweetest thing to watch!

She has the best Dad who spent hours each evening teaching her how to master her bike riding skills!  It was a good summer for Lucy indeed!

Swimming Lessons

It was a good year for the Schwitzer girls and their swimming skills.  This was Lucy's first year of lessons and she was a little scared of jumping of the diving board.  But, she always did it and tried her best to swim to the side.
Eliza got better and better each day!

She caught on fast and started to look great doing her strokes.
This was Anne's last year.  She mastered all strokes and we are confident in her swimming abilities!  Way to go girls!

4th of July

I was the worst this year at taking pictures on the actual 4th of July!  We ended up just having a real low key holiday.  Mike and Jason went up to Strawberry reservoir to do some fishing.  The girls and I went shopping and then headed to Grandma Young's.  We went swimming at the Cottonwood Spa and then had a BBQ for dinner.  Later we just came home to watch the fireworks in our neighborhood.  Herriman residence light up the skies and our back yard is the perfect place to watch! How grateful we are for this great country and all the blessings we are given by living in it!
