Eliza Christmas Dance Recital

Eliza loves dance!  Every week we count down the days until she gets to go to dance.  I am so happy she is doing something that she enjoys and loves.  Leah was in the same show as Eliza so, we had to get a picture.
Eliza's first dance was her tap class.  Eliza has loved tap and she enjoys doing the shuffle step.  She has  it down to perfection!

Waving good bye at the end of her dance.
Her second dance was her ballet class.  They danced to It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas.  She did a beautiful job!

Eliza's biggest accomplishment this season was learning to skip.  We would practice at home and it really is a big thing to learn at the age of 5.  She is now the skipping queen!

Anne Christmas Recital Dances

Anne's first dance was her ballet dance.  They danced to a polar express song and it was really cute.  Anne loves ballet and I think she loves the discipline that comes with it.

Her second dance was her tap class.  I love that she takes tap also and she is enjoying learning something new!

She ended her dance in the splits!  I have never been able to do that so, nice job Anne!
The dancing beauties with their favorite guy...their Dad!  The highlight of the night is getting flowers from him!

Anne's Ears are Pierced!

Anne has been counting down the days to get her ears pierced.  I have told my girls that they need to wait until they are 8.  Anne will be 8 in a couple of months so, we went ahead and did it right before Christmas.  The picture above are are ears before and then after.  She was really brave and didn't even shed a tear when it was done.  She is one tuff cookie!  Mike was a little sad before we left.  He couldn't believe that his little girl wanted to grow up.  I wish she could stay little forever but, she is ready to go!!

An English Christmas

Every year the Young side celebrates Christmas in the way that our ancestors might have.  This year we celebrated our ancestors from England.  We dressed up like they might have and ate some food that they might have eaten around Christmas time.  We rented some costumes for the night and had a good time.
Ryan and Erin went all out and played the part well.
Brad and JanaLynn also had great costumes!
Mike and I got some hats and called it good.  I loved Mike's hat!
 Jill rented this beauty!

Mom and Dad looked great
Joe won the night with his police hat.  Loved it!
The whole crew.  We paid some babysitters to watch the kids downstairs so we could enjoy being with just the adults.  We ate and then headed out to do some caroling.  Brad and Janalynn have some neighbors from England so they were very happy to see us all dressed up at their door.
To end the night Dad told us about our ancestors on the Wheeler side that were from England.  He told some great stories.  Check out the boys...they are totally listening!

Santa Pictures

A lady in our ward does photography and took these cute pictures of our kids at our ward party.  We had a great ward breakfast and it was fun to get to know the people in our ward a little bit better.
Lucy was brave and didn't cry when we sat her on Santa's lap.  She wants a doll for Christmas

Anne wants some Lego friends for Christmas.

Eliza wants nail polish for Christmas.  ( Is she easy to please or what!)
Jason wants some Lego City for Christmas.

Christmas Choir Concert

Jason this year joined the school choir.  He has to go to school early every Wednesdays for practice.  He has enjoyed being part of it.  They had a Christmas concert and it was fun to hear all the songs he had been working on.

He said his speaking part loud and clear.  Nice job Jason!
Lucy enjoyed it as well.  Both Grandparents come to cheer him on.  You sounded wonderful Jason!

Grandma is Amazing!

Grandma Young made Lucy here Christmas stocking and it is beautiful.  Grandma has made all the stockings for my kids and it has taken hours and hours of work.  All the stockings are cross-stitched down to perfection.  I am so grateful to my Mom and Grandma for giving us these special stockings.  They are truly something we will treasure forever.
